Chapter 103
She cried, "Why are you here? I thought you hated me!"
Seeing her tears, William felt heartbroken. "Don't cry. As long as I'm here, no matter what happens, I'll be by your side."
His voice was so gentle that it made her lower her guard.
Victoria stared at him, gradually stopping her tears.
Just as she was about to speak, a sharp, piercing scream from Nora interrupted, "Victoria, don't think you can do whatever you want just because William is backing you up! If you dare leave, I'll jump from the upstairs window!"
Victoria's relaxed body tensed up again. She turned to look at Nora's twisted face, feeling a deep sense of sorrow.
William, infuriated by Nora's words, shouted coldly, "Nora, shut up!"
Nora's eyes widened in rage. "William, if it weren't for you helping her, my son wouldn't be in this mess!"
Her anger grew more intense, causing her to tremble. "Victoria, I'm asking you one last time, will you help Bobby or not?"
Victoria pressed her lips together and coldly replied, "No! If it comes to it, I'll die with you! Consider it my repayment for giving birth to me!"
William's patience was wearing thin. He grabbed Bobby, who had been watching the scene unfold, and punched him to the ground.
Caught off guard, Bobby's nose swelled up immediately.
William grabbed his collar and stomped on his face, grinding his heel in. He spoke to Nora with a murderous tone, "Nora, I warn you, if you threaten Victoria again, I'll make sure Bobby wishes he were dead!"
Bobby struggled, but William held him down firmly.
Nora watched in horror as Bobby was tortured by William. She screamed in agony, "William, you bastard! Let him go! Let go of Bobby! If you hurt him, I'll fight you to the death!"
William ignored her, tightening his grip on Bobby's neck, his face menacing.
Bobby's face turned red as he struggled to breathe, managing to choke out, "You... you..."
His legs kicked frantically, trying to break free from William's iron grip.
But William's hold was unyielding, and Bobby's efforts were in vain.
Nora, terrified, no longer dared to threaten Victoria. She crawled over to save Bobby, crying and begging, "William, please let Bobby go!"
William's face remained cold as he refused, "You shouldn't be begging me!"
Nora trembled all over, turning to Victoria and pleading, "Victoria, I'm begging you, please make him let Bobby go. I'll do anything you want!"
Seeing Nora's pitiful state, Victoria's heart softened a bit.
She took a deep breath, slowly releasing her grip on the railing and stepping back into the room. William quickly reached out to support her and simultaneously let go of Bobby.
He looked at Victoria's pale face with concern, his eyes full of pity.
Bobby lay on the ground, coughing violently and drenched in sweat.
Nora held him, slumped on the floor.
Bobby glared at William with hatred, wishing he could tear him apart.
Victoria wiped away her tears and walked over to Bobby, looking down at him with a calm gaze. "Bobby, this is the path you chose. Now, face the consequences."
"Mom, you have to help me!" Bobby pleaded with Nora, hoping she could persuade Victoria to change her mind.
Victoria shook her head and laughed, "If you can't stay here, you can go abroad! You got so much money from Ella and Alice, it's enough for you to live and study abroad!"
Bobby stared at her in disbelief, "You're kicking me out!"
His voice rose, filled with resentment and bitterness.
Victoria sneered, "What else? Let you stay here and leech off me? Bobby, I've told you before, there's nothing between us anymore!"
Bobby trembled with anger, but he knew that if Victoria didn't relent, going abroad was his best option.
But he couldn't let Victoria off so easily. He gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, I'll go abroad, but since it's expensive, you have to give me more money!"
Victoria's head buzzed with anger at his audacity.
Nora immediately chimed in, "Yes, Victoria, give Bobby more money so he can study abroad!"
Victoria snorted, "Are you crazy? I paid for your medical bills and his tuition. Do you think I'm a bank?"
"Of course you have money! Aren't you Mr. Scott's mistress? How could you not have money?" Nora retorted, ignoring William's presence.
William's face darkened, and he sternly rebuked, "Nora, don't push it!"
Nora shrank back, muttering, "I'm just telling the truth! Bobby needs a lot of money. Victoria, I promise, if you give Bobby more money, I'll never bother you again!"
Victoria found Nora's shamelessness laughable.
How could such a greedy, shameless woman be her mother?
Victoria laughed until her eyes turned red. She looked up at the ceiling, holding back her tears.
William saw her forced smile and felt a sharp pain in his heart.
He gently touched her cheek and whispered, "Don't cry, it's not worth it."
Victoria looked at his broad palm, wiped away her tears, and pulled out a card from her bag, handing it to Nora. "This is all my money. Take it and leave. From now on, I owe you nothing."
Nora eagerly took the card and stuffed it into her pocket. She helped Bobby up and didn't look back at Victoria.
Victoria stood there, watching them leave, tears streaming down her face.
Nora, Bobby, my last bit of affection for you is gone.
William pulled Victoria into his arms, gently patting her back and soothing her, "It's okay, Victoria. It's over. Don't cry."
