Chapter 107

Victoria shook her head. "No, but thanks for asking."

Lyanna saw them coming out of the restroom one after the other, and Victoria's face was still flushed. She immediately felt a sense of alarm.

Could it be that William, besides Ella and Alice, also had something going on with Victoria?

Feeling a bit panicked, Lyanna quickly tugged on William's sleeve. "William."

William turned his head. "What's up?"

"I..." Lyanna glanced at Victoria, then lowered her head, unsure of what to say.

"Don't overthink it. Just rest for a bit." William gently ruffled Lyanna's hair to comfort her.

"Okay." Lyanna nodded and obediently sat back in her seat, but she kept sneaking glances at William and Victoria out of the corner of her eye.

During the flight, the two didn't exchange any words.

Two hours later, the plane landed at Harborview City's international airport. As soon as the plane stopped, William received a call from Alice.

Victoria stood behind him with her bag, ready to disembark. William glanced at her and stepped aside to take the call.

"Alice."

Hearing his familiar voice, Alice immediately became excited and quickly asked, "Where are you? You didn't come home last night, and when I went to the office today, the receptionist said you were on a business trip."

"Yeah, I was just on the plane."

Alice was silent for a moment, then sighed. "You didn't tell me you were going on a business trip. I was so worried."

William paused before speaking gently, "Sorry, it was a bit rushed. I was planning to tell you after I got off the plane."

Seeing how tenderly he spoke, Victoria didn't need to hear the content to know who he was talking to.

William had a woman at home, was currently with another woman, yet he still wouldn't let go of Victoria.

Luckily, she never fantasized about being with him; otherwise, it would have been painful.

Just like Ella and Alice, each crazier than the last.

As she was lost in thought, Lyanna suddenly asked loudly, "Victoria, which hotel are you staying at?"

Her voice was so loud that it startled Victoria and was heard by Alice on the other end of the call.

"Victoria?" Alice's face instantly fell, and she questioned William, "Did you bring Victoria to Harborview City too?"

William's face darkened as he glanced at Lyanna, a hint of anger in his eyes.

Lyanna shrank back and lowered her head.

William walked off the plane quickly, explaining to Alice on the phone, "We just ran into each other."

Lyanna watched him walk ahead and hurried to follow.

Alton, seeing William leave, finally dared to speak. "Victoria, let's get off too."

Victoria nodded, and they exited the plane together.

Outside the airport, a luxury car was already waiting for Alton.

"Victoria, which hotel are you staying at? I'll give you a ride!" Alton offered warmly.

"No need to trouble you, I'll just take a cab." Victoria politely declined.

"You're my friend, and Harborview City is my hometown. It's no trouble at all. Or do you not consider me a friend?" Alton pretended to be upset, pouting.

"That's not what I meant." Victoria smiled helplessly. "I just don't want to be a bother."

"It's no bother at all," Alton insisted, gently taking her arm to guide her into the car.

"Ms. Carter, where are you headed?" A cold voice cut through the air.

Victoria turned to see William, dressed in a sharp black suit, his tie perfectly in place, exuding an air of elegance and authority.

With one hand in his pocket, he looked at Victoria with a faint, mocking smile, a hint of coldness in his eyes.

Victoria shivered involuntarily.

Alton immediately released her arm and stepped back slightly.

William's demeanor was indeed intimidating.

"I, I'm going to the hotel," Victoria managed to say.

William responded indifferently, then looked up, his tone laced with sarcasm. "Moving fast, aren't you? Already heading to the hotel together?"

"No, no, no," Alton quickly explained. "I'm just giving Ms. Carter a ride to the hotel."

William glanced at Victoria. "Is that so?"

Victoria gritted her teeth. "Yes!"

William smirked, then turned to Alton. "In that case, no need to trouble you, Mr. Bridges. Ms. Carter is staying at the same hotel as me. I'll take her."

Alton looked at Victoria, hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly agreed. "Alright."

William, not wanting to waste more words, turned to Victoria. "Let's go."

He started walking, and after a moment's hesitation, Victoria followed.

She could tell William was angry. Defying him now would only lead to trouble. It was better to go along with him and avoid future issues.

They got into the Lincoln Town Car that had come to pick up William. Harry sat in the front seat, and Lyanna, seeing Victoria, was surprised. "Ms. Carter, are you coming with us?"

Victoria forced a smile, trying to think of a response, when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her waist. She turned to glare at William.

He had sneakily slipped his hand under her shirt and pinched her!

William raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

Victoria clenched her teeth, suppressing her anger, and glared at William before turning back to Lyanna. "I'm staying at the same hotel as you. Mr. Scott kindly offered me a ride."

Lyanna blinked, looking between Victoria and William, then nodded suspiciously.

The car fell silent. Harry glanced at Lyanna and Victoria through the rearview mirror, his lips twitching. He silently cursed William for being shameless.

Victoria kept her head down, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.

William didn't make things difficult for her and didn't speak to her during the ride.

Each lost in their own thoughts, they soon arrived at the hotel.

William got out, glanced at Victoria, and then walked toward the hotel entrance.

Victoria understood his look and, thinking of their one-month agreement, reluctantly followed.

Lyanna watched their backs with displeasure.

At the front desk, Lyanna smiled and said, "Ms. Carter, this place isn't cheap. Your company must be generous to book you a room here."
