Chapter 133
Victoria's face flushed with anger, her chest heaving violently.
Nora stepped in, trying to defuse the situation. "Victoria, Bobby needs to go abroad for his studies. As his sister, shouldn't you be thinking about him? Just ask William for more money, and we'll let you go right away. You know William spoils you; if you ask, he'll definitely give it to you."
Victoria's chest rose and fell with fury. "William has never liked me, let alone spoiled me! Stop dreaming. He won't give it!"
Nora's eyes narrowed, her tone suddenly sharp. "Victoria, are you forcing me to use other means to make you comply?"
Victoria wasn't afraid of her threats. "You wouldn't dare! Do you want to send your precious son to jail?"
"Of course, I dare. I'm your mother. Whether I scold you, hit you, or even send you to a mental hospital, it's not illegal! You'd better behave, or don't blame me for being ruthless."
A chill ran through Victoria. She had never seen a mother as cruel and vicious as Nora.
"Mom, you can't do this to me!" Victoria screamed hysterically.
Nora glanced at Victoria coldly and sneered, "It's because you're too stingy, not even helping your own brother!"
A deep sense of helplessness surged within Victoria. Nora's tactics were too despicable, leaving her with no way to fight back.
She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
She couldn't afford to get agitated now, or she would be even more at their mercy.
Victoria closed her eyes, slowly calming her emotions before reopening them. She looked at Nora and Bobby with indifference, her voice hoarse. "Fine, I'll ask him for money. How much do you want?"
Victoria's sudden change in attitude caught Bobby and Nora off guard.
They exchanged glances, and Bobby quickly said, "Twenty million dollars!"
"Twenty million dollars?" Victoria gasped, then scoffed. "You're really asking for the moon!"
Bobby sneered at Victoria, speaking as if it were only natural. "For people like them, twenty million dollars is nothing. Besides, studying abroad costs hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Will you care about me in the future? I have to ask for more at once. And twenty million dollars is already a bargain for you. After all, you're his mistress. William wouldn't want to shortchange you, right?"
"You're shameless and greedy. How could I have a brother like you!" Victoria was so furious that her chest heaved even more violently.
Seeing Victoria's reaction, Bobby angrily rushed over, grabbed her collar, and slapped her hard across the face.
Victoria was thrown to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
Bobby wasn't done. He grabbed Victoria's hair, threatening her viciously. "Bitch, if you don't get the twenty million dollars, I'll lock you up until you die!"
Victoria clutched her scalp in pain, her anger erupting like a volcano.
She forgot her original plans and schemes. She had had enough of their threats and torment. At this moment, she only wanted to take them down with her!
She suddenly got up, wrapping the chain around Bobby's neck and pulling with all her might. "Even if I die, I'll take you with me!"
Nora screamed in terror, "Victoria! Let go!"
Bobby was stunned by Victoria's sudden action but quickly started struggling desperately.
"Let go, you psycho! When I get my hands on you, you'll wish you were dead!" Bobby gasped, his face turning red.
Victoria couldn't believe he was still threatening her at this point!
Her eyes were bloodshot, and she gritted her teeth, pulling the chain tighter, wanting to strangle him.
Bobby began to feel breathless, his body weakening, and his vision blurring.
Nora's face turned pale with fear, shouting, "Victoria, let go! You'll kill him!"
Victoria ignored her, not loosening her grip at all.
Seeing Victoria's determination, Nora panicked. She grabbed a nearby bottle and smashed it over Victoria's head.
The sound of the bottle shattering echoed through the room. Victoria felt a hot sensation on her head, blood streaming down her face, blurring her vision.
Victoria finally let go, collapsing weakly to the ground.
Bobby coughed violently, spitting out a mouthful of water.
He kicked Victoria over and over again. "Damn it! You bitch! How dare you hurt me! I'll cripple you today!"
Victoria lay on the ground, letting Bobby kick her. She stared at the ceiling, feeling empty and desolate inside.
She didn't cry or scream, lying there quietly like a soulless shell, unresponsive to Bobby's beating.
'Bobby, Nora, you forced me to this.'
Suddenly, the door was kicked open, and a swarm of police officers rushed in.
Bobby was taken out of the villa, surrounded by flashing cameras that nearly blinded him.
He stared wide-eyed in terror, his hands cuffed in front of him, red marks on his wrists. His legs trembled so much that he could barely move without the police's support.
It wasn't until he was shoved into the police car that he snapped out of it, screaming, "I didn't do it! I'm being framed! Someone set me up!"
Bobby was taken away, and the reporters followed him to the police station.
William leaned against his Maybach, the cigarette in his fingers glowing and fading, casting sharp shadows on his face. He watched the commotion at the villa gradually die down, then stubbed out his cigarette and floored the gas pedal, crashing through the police barricade.
"Mr. Scott, you can't go in."
He rolled down the window, tugging at his tie, his eyes cold as ice. "I'm the victim's family."
The warehouse door creaked open, the smell of mold and blood hitting him.
William's pupils contracted.
Victoria crouched in the corner, her ankle raw and bloody from the chain, her forehead wound crudely bandaged.
She held a cup of water, sipping it slowly.
He shrugged off his coat, striding over to wrap it around her trembling body, his voice tight with suppressed rage. "You risked your life to make them pay?"
"Life?" She suddenly grabbed his collar, her nails digging into his skin. "They framed me, humiliated me, and took my money, and I could overlook all of it!"
Her eyes burned with madness. "But they shouldn't have deceived my father. Bobby isn't even my dad's child."
