Chapter 142

William furrowed his brows slightly, glancing sideways at her with a detached tone, "Are you giving me orders?"

Alice looked at him, tears welling up in her eyes, then suddenly gave a sorrowful smile, "Why not? William, don't forget, if it weren't for me, you'd be dead by now!"

Eugene's brow furrowed deeply.

That incident was an unspoken taboo between them.

Although their friends knew the details, no one ever mentioned it in front of them. Alice and William acted as if it had never happened.

This was the first time Alice had brought it up.

As expected, William pressed his lips tightly together and slowly lowered his gaze.

Alice laughed, but her laughter was trembling, "To save you, I was tortured by those bastards for hours!"

Eugene quickly intervened, "Alice, stop it, that's enough."

William's eyes began to change, his fists slowly clenching.

Alice, seemingly unaware, continued, "Do you know how many times I was violated during those hours?"

"Stop it!"

William abruptly cut her off, his knuckles turning white as his fists clenched, veins bulging on the back of his hands.

"Why can't I say it?"

Alice, having revealed her deepest secret, seemed to relax, a hint of calmness in her expression.

"I know you despise me, that's why you won't get close to me. But William, who made me like this? Where's your basic human decency?"

William gritted his teeth, his voice squeezed out from between them, "I never despised you! To me, chastity means nothing!"

Alice's laugh was filled with sarcasm, "Then tell me, why haven't you touched me all these years?"

By the end, her voice was hoarse, almost screaming.

Her eyes were bloodshot, like a doll that had been cruelly mistreated, pitiful and heart-wrenching.

William looked at her, his throat tightening, but he couldn't find the words to defend himself.

Eugene, seeing this, became anxious, "William, say something!"

Fortunately, the bar's music was deafening, and no one noticed the commotion, thinking it was just a couple having a spat.

Eugene felt stifled listening to it all.

"I tried, more than once." William had regained his composure, his tone almost indifferent, "But I just don't feel any sexual desire when I'm with you."

Eugene couldn't bear to listen any longer.

This situation was beyond help.

Alice stared at William, devastated. When a man tells you he has no sexual interest in you, it's a hundred times more hurtful than saying "I don't love you anymore."

Alice felt as if her heart was being torn apart, the pain unbearable.

The suffocating feeling made her almost faint, unable to breathe.

Her eyes filled with tears, she used all her strength to keep them from falling.

Overwhelmed with resentment and grievance, she just wanted to vent all her emotions.

She walked into the nightclub's dance floor.

Unlike Victoria's casual sexiness, Alice's allure, beneath her fragile exterior, was enough to captivate men, stirring their protective and conquering instincts.

She shrugged off her cardigan, flaunting her delicate beauty, quickly attracting a group of men. Gradually, their bodies pressed closer, their hands wandering.

William kept his back to her.

Eugene frowned, walked over, and nodded towards her, lowering his voice, "Are you really going to do nothing?"

William's brows furrowed, his tone indifferent, "She's an adult, she should be responsible for herself."

Eugene understood, but William's earlier words were too hurtful, especially considering Alice's traumatic past. Leaving her like this could lead to trouble.

"You should take her home."

William remained silent for a moment, then downed his last drink, set the glass down, and stood up.

He walked straight into the dance floor, coldly pushing away the man who was half-holding Alice, and without a word, dragged her out.

Alice didn't speak, just looked at William with a mix of longing and sorrow.

But the others weren't happy!

"Hey! Who said you could leave?"

William immediately turned and punched him in the face!

The man staggered back, clutching his mouth, cursing, "Bastard! How dare you hit me! I'll destroy you!"

He swung at William.

William kicked him in the stomach, sending him and his friend crashing to the ground, crying out in pain.

The crowd scattered in panic.

"Are you looking for trouble?" The other men grabbed weapons.

The scene was chaotic.

Luckily, the bar belonged to Eugene, who quickly called security to control the situation.

Outside the bar, Daisy stood with her arms crossed, her gaze icy.

"Causing trouble in a bar, really? William, do you still think you're a kid?"

William sat on the steps, a cigarette between his fingers, looking as gloomy as a storm cloud.

Alice tried to explain, "It's not his fault, it's mine."

"Of course it's your fault!" Daisy turned, her sharp gaze piercing Alice, "Alice, sometimes I wonder, do you love him, or are you trying to get back at him for what happened?"

"It's not like that, I don't," Alice defended herself.

"How many fights has William gotten into because of you? Can you honestly say you had no part in it? There are plenty of women in the world, why did those thugs target you, the Garcia family's princess?"

"I didn't, Aunt Daisy, let me explain." Alice lowered her head, tears welling up again.

"Don't call me Aunt! I don't have a niece like you!" Daisy's face was full of disdain, "Don't play the victim with me. I've seen enough over the years! You might fool William, but not me. Get out of here, and if William gets hurt because of you again, I won't let you off!"

"Aunt Daisy!"

"Get out!"
