Chapter 191

"Dad-" Victoria was frantic, wanting to step forward and intervene.

But as soon as she opened her mouth, William pulled her behind him.

William sneered, looking Alvin straight in the eye without a hint of fear. "What's wrong with the way I'm talking to her?"

"When she was borrowing money everywhere for Bobby's tuition and Nora's medical bills, where were you? When she was bullied and burned, where were you? When she was falsely accused and insulted, where were you?"

Alvin's face changed slightly, a flash of pain and guilt in his eyes.

Victoria, feeling sorry for Alvin, didn't want him to be questioned like this. She pleaded softly, "William, stop."

But William ignored her, his gaze growing colder and his tone sharper. "Nora and Bobby treat her like a servant, take her money, and even try to take her kidney. She's suffered so much, and now you still stand by and watch Nora pick on her. Have you fulfilled your duty as a father?"

William pulled Victoria in front of him, holding her hand tightly in front of Alvin.

"I admit, I've been harsh to her these past two years and have done many things to hurt her. But I've always protected her! For her, I'd give up my life!"

Alvin's fists clenched tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"William, that's enough! Stop talking!" Victoria couldn't hold back anymore. She pushed his hand away and hurried to Alvin, anxiously saying, "Dad, don't listen to him. I'm really fine. I'm doing well."

William's face darkened, glaring at Victoria.

This ungrateful woman!

Alvin shook his head slowly, his voice full of disappointment and defeat. "No, it's me who didn't protect you."

Nora finally understood that William was standing up for Victoria!

She couldn't admit to any of this and immediately retorted, "Stop making things up."

William, already fuming from Victoria's earlier actions, turned his head and gave Nora a cold, sidelong glance, sneering. "Save it for my lawyer."

His intention was clear: he wanted to send Nora to jail!

Ever since Nora had coveted Victoria's kidney, William had this idea. Someone like her didn't deserve to be around Victoria!

Nora's face turned pale instantly. She knew William's methods; he was ruthless when he wanted to be!

She didn't dare openly resist and could only cry and plead with Alvin for help.

But Alvin, tormented by William's earlier questioning, was too focused on how to make it up to Victoria to pay any attention to Nora.

No matter how much Nora cried and hinted, he remained unmoved.

At this moment, the hospital staff arrived.

Without a word, Alvin grabbed Victoria and prepared to leave.

"No! Alvin, you can't go! I need you!"

Alvin didn't respond, pushing the door open and leaving.

Victoria finally breathed a sigh of relief.

As she stepped out, she saw Samuel. Daisy was talking to him about something, and he was looking down, his handsome face unreadable.

Victoria didn't have time to say anything to him. She turned back to William. "Come with me."

Her tone wasn't exactly gentle.

Alvin glanced at Victoria, wanting to stop her, but seeing the determination in her eyes, he slowly lowered his hand.

William's lips curled into a faint smile, raising an eyebrow as he casually slipped his hands into his pockets. He glanced at Samuel before following her unhurriedly.

Samuel looked up, his gaze fixed on the two of them until they disappeared around the corner.

On a small platform at the end of the hallway, Victoria stopped and turned to stare directly at William. "Are you really going to sue her?"

William seemed quite pleased, leaning against the wall and looking at her with a tilted head. "What, you want to plead for her?"

Victoria frowned, her tone tinged with helplessness. "I don't want to drag my dad into this."

Alvin again!

William snorted disdainfully. "Do you really need to worry so much about him?"

No matter what he said, Victoria kept her eyes on him, continuing to press. "You have a way, don't you?"

Her words amused William. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why do you think I'd help him?"

Victoria was silent for a moment, reluctantly taking a small step forward, "You will help, right?"

William glared at her, annoyed. "No!"

His previously good mood was instantly ruined by her words; his handsome face turned icy, as if covered in frost.

Victoria grew anxious, her words spilling out rapidly. "This also involves your aunt. If you really didn't care, why did you come all this way tonight?"

William took a deep breath and suddenly laughed, stepping closer with a powerful presence. "How do you know I came for Aunt Daisy?"

"If not for her, then who? It can't be for me, right?"

Victoria laughed at herself, but looking at his face, she couldn't muster a smile.

She stared at him, biting her lower lip, and asked softly, "Did you really come for me?"

William gritted his teeth. "No. Why would I come for you? Why would I come all this way for a heartless woman like you?"

William was genuinely angry now.

He placed his hands on his hips, the angrier he got, the more his smile seemed eerie.

"How could I forget? You have a boyfriend now. Why would you need to ask me for such a small thing? Just go to your boyfriend!"

Victoria's face turned sour. She lifted her shimmering eyes, responding stiffly, "You don't need to mock me. If you don't want to help, fine. Just pretend I never asked!"

She turned to leave.

William frowned, grabbing her arm. "Is this how you ask for help?"

"I was polite enough! What more do you want?" She angrily shook off his hand. "You said my mom picked on me, but I think the one who picked on me the most is you! It was like this before, and it's still like this now!"

William laughed.

He raised his hand, pointing a finger at her chest.

Victoria instinctively raised her arm to protect herself, her face full of vigilance. "What are you doing?"

He narrowed his eyes, a wicked smile on his lips. "I'm telling you, I want to pick on you right now!"

"You-"

Before she could finish, he suddenly lowered his head, capturing her soft, moist lips, forcefully prying open her teeth and invading her mouth.
