Chapter 55

Nora's movements froze upon hearing the words.

She suddenly turned her head to look at the man, her expression changing.

Victoria was slightly stunned and slowly looked towards him.

William was wearing a dark wool coat, which made his face appear even more noble and handsome, with features as sharp as if carved by a knife.

He walked straight up to Nora and Victoria with his long legs, looking down at Nora. "You dare to hit my woman?"

His tone was very light, but the strong aura he exuded was terrifying.

Nora was so scared that she shrank back and instinctively took a step back.

William glanced at Nora's reaction, his eyes full of mockery.

Nora swallowed nervously and said, "I, I didn't mean to hit Victoria."

Victoria pressed her lips together, said nothing, and silently lowered her head.

William's gaze shifted to her, and his thin, sexy lips moved slightly. "Come with me."

Victoria sneered, looked at William and Nora with disdain, and walked out.

"Victoria! Where are you going?" William frowned and called out to her.

Victoria stopped and looked back at him.

She said coldly, "It's none of your business, Mr. Scott. I'll go wherever I want."

With that, she quickly left the ward without looking back.

Watching her leave, William was furious.

Victoria was truly ungrateful.

Nora saw William's increasingly ugly expression and said mockingly, "My daughter is just cheap, easily getting carried away. If you're nice to her, she not only doesn't appreciate it but becomes even more arrogant. Don't spoil her too much, or she won't know her place."

William said nothing, turned to glance at Nora, his eyes extremely indifferent. "I like spoiling her. It's none of your business."

With that, William pushed the door open and left.

Nora stood there, gritting her teeth in anger.

Victoria didn't leave, standing at the hospital entrance waiting for William.

After about three minutes, a Rolls-Royce Phantom drove steadily up and stopped beside her.

The window rolled down, revealing William's handsome face.

"Get in."

Victoria didn't hesitate, opened the door, and got in.

The Rolls-Royce drove through the streets, where neon lights flashed constantly.

Victoria looked at the changing street scenes, her voice hoarse. "William, you should know how deep the grudge between my mom and me is. I won't have anything to do with you because of her, so please don't interfere in my family's affairs anymore."

As she spoke, Victoria suddenly stopped, turned her head, and looked at William with determination.

William found her pretense of calmness amusing.

She seemed like a little kitten trying to act like a big tiger, both harmless and rather adorable.

Considering her completely indifferent mother, Nora, he understood why she had to put up defenses to protect herself.

It was hard to tell whether to sympathize or pity her.

Not hearing William's response, Victoria couldn't help but raise her eyebrows and asked again. "Will you agree or not?"

William collected his thoughts, turned his head, and stared at her seriously. "Victoria, you think too highly of yourself. If it weren't for your father..."

He suddenly stopped talking.

Victoria couldn't understand how it related to Alvin.

Could it be that William not only knew about Alvin from the news but also had some private dealings with him?

Thinking of this possibility, she became wary, her breathing gradually becoming rapid.

She clenched her fists, trying to maintain a calm expression, and tentatively asked, "What about my father?"

William didn't want Victoria to know about his grudge with Alvin, so he casually said. "If it weren't for your father causing so many deaths, I wouldn't hate the Carter family so much. Who knew you would satisfy me in bed, unlike any other woman..."

Before he could finish, Victoria's chest heaved with anger, and she gritted her teeth. "You bastard!"

William ignored her curse and continued, "Your mom threatened me on the phone, saying if I didn't pay her medical bills, she would expose our relationship online. I don't care, every rich kid has some scandals, right? But you, if this news gets out, can you still work at the gallery? I did you a big favor, and you curse me instead of thanking me. Is that how you treat your benefactor?"

He spoke lightly, but Victoria was furious.

He was blatantly threatening her, forcing her to submit!

"You should know, your mom is staying in the most luxurious hospital room, using the best medicine and living supplies, plus various nutritional and skincare products..."

Victoria knew William wasn't exaggerating.

Nora had lived in luxury since childhood, and even after marrying Alvin, she used the best of everything.

Even after Alvin went to prison, Nora was protected well, never suffering from the Carter family's bankruptcy.

Seeing Victoria's face darken, William continued. "I'm a businessman, spending so much money, do you think it's for charity? And I've paid off the debts your dad left behind. I can let the principal slide for now, but you should at least cover the interest each month-it's no small sum."

Victoria gritted her teeth. "I'll pay the interest myself every month!"

William sneered, "I've been paying the interest for you, you might not know. Over a hundred thousand dollars a month. How much did you earn this month? Two thousand dollars? How will you pay? Find another sugar daddy?"

Victoria's eyes reddened.

Seeing his goal was almost achieved, William smiled in satisfaction.

He turned his head, glanced at her casually, and reminded, "Of course, you can choose not to pay. But your father's sentence will..."

"Enough!" Victoria growled, her eyes red.

William stopped, and said indifferently, "Don't think about Samuel or Joshua, stay with me, and I won't treat you badly."

Victoria clenched her fists, her eyes filled with tears, glaring at William.

Seeing her pitiful yet pretending to be strong, William's long-suppressed desire stirred again.

He instructed Harry, the driver, "Drive to the riverside."

Harry was slightly stunned, then respectfully responded, "Yes."

Victoria's eyes widened in shock.

"What are you doing?" she exclaimed.

"You'll know soon." William smiled wickedly.

Victoria's heart raced, she looked ahead in panic, and when the car slowed down, she even thought of opening the door to escape.

William reached out and pulled her back.

Victoria was forced into his arms, his unique male scent filled her nose, making her shiver.

She struggled desperately, but William didn't let go.

Harry parked the car on a deserted riverside path, turned off the engine, and got out.

The car's interior was narrow and cramped; his warm breaths sprayed on her neck, sending shivers down her spine.
