Chapter 60

Daisy Scott glanced at Ella without speaking, then looked at Victoria who was curled up on the sofa.

She walked over and stood in front of Victoria, looking down at her.

Victoria raised her head and met Daisy's cold gaze.

"Who are you?" Victoria asked, a hint of confusion flashing in her eyes.

"I am William's aunt, Daisy Scott. You must be Victoria," Daisy said indifferently.

"Hello, Ms. Scott" Victoria nodded politely.

Although she didn't know much about William, she was somewhat familiar with his family members.

"Come with me," Daisy said slowly, her voice carrying a hint of seriousness, "I have something to say to you alone."

Victoria hesitated for a moment, then followed her.

The other bridesmaids looked at each other and whispered, "Ella, who is that woman? She's so arrogant."

"That's William's aunt. She's in her forties and still not married, with a very bad temper."

Everyone exclaimed, "So she's William's aunt. No wonder she's so arrogant!"

"Just wait and see the show!" Ella said smugly, glancing in the direction Victoria had left, "Let's see how Victoria can keep up her arrogance today!"

"What show? Tell us quickly," the bridesmaids urged.

Ella smiled proudly, "Since William's parents died, Daisy has been taking care of him. You could say she's like half a mother to him. I've told her all about Victoria seducing William. Daisy is very strict with her principles and bottom line, and she hates sleazy women. Victoria is definitely in for a bad time this time."

Victoria followed Daisy to the lawn outside the hotel, under a dense sycamore tree. Daisy leaned against the tree trunk, her posture elegant and lazy.

"Ms. Scott," Victoria called out.

Daisy turned her face slightly, giving Victoria a faint glance, her expression indifferent and her gaze sharp, "Ms. Carter, please sit down."

Victoria obediently sat on the chair beside her.

Daisy also sat down opposite her, carefully examining her.

Victoria's skin was smooth and translucent, her features exquisite and beautiful, her brows full of liveliness and charm, especially her gem-like eyes, clear and bright.

Being stared at by Daisy's sharp gaze made Victoria a bit uneasy. She awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Ms. Scott."

"You've grown up," Daisy suddenly said. Victoria felt a bit puzzled but still responded obediently.

Daisy looked into the distant blue sky and slowly said, "I attended your tenth birthday party. I still remember you wore a white puffy dress that day, with two pigtails on your head, looking very cute."

Victoria felt she had seen her somewhere before and now remembered that Daisy had appeared with Alvin at that time.

Nora had seen the two of them and angrily pointed at Daisy, saying, "Your dad is running away with that woman, and you still have the mood to celebrate your birthday."

Victoria knew that Nora and Alvin were going through a divorce at that time, but she didn't know the specific reason.

Hearing Nora say that, she really thought Alvin was having an affair and went up to try to drive Daisy away.

Then she was scolded. That was the only time Alvin had scolded her.

So Victoria remembered it very clearly.

"Are you a friend of my dad?" Victoria asked tentatively.

"You could say that," Daisy sneered, "You should ask your dad about the entanglements between us, as it involves your mom's privacy."

Hearing this, Victoria was even more certain that she had a close relationship with Alvin.

She pursed her lips and continued to ask, "So why are you looking for me..."

"Did you sleep with William?" Daisy interrupted, her tone strong and pressing.

She didn't like to beat around the bush.

Victoria was stunned for a moment, then nodded, "Yes."

Daisy's face instantly turned gloomy, "Did he threaten you?"

Victoria didn't know how to answer. It was indeed a threat.

But at the beginning, when she was desperate and borrowing money everywhere for Nora's illness, only William gave her a way out.

Although this way out was at the cost of her dignity, Victoria had to admit that William helped her.

Because it was the best choice at that time.

At least William was a handsome young man, not those greasy old men with big bellies.

Victoria lowered her eyes and thought for a moment, then slowly said, "It wasn't exactly a threat."

Daisy frowned slightly, "Victoria, I have some connections with your father, so I don't want to see you get hurt. William's thoughts and feelings towards you are not as simple as you think. He wants to..."

She paused, seemingly considering her words, then said, "In short, you should leave him as soon as possible and stop getting entangled with him."

Victoria didn't quite understand Daisy's words, but she knew they were for her own good.

"Thank you for warning me. He's getting married today, so I don't think we'll have much interaction in the future," Victoria said softly.

She didn't want to delve into it, as feelings couldn't be forced.

"That's good," Daisy smiled with relief and changed the topic, "Since you're his lover, why are you here as a bridesmaid for his fiancée today?"

Victoria was stunned, then shook her head and said bitterly, "Ella invited me."

Daisy was surprised, then frowned, "Is this a joke? It's not enough for William to bully you alone, he has to bring his fiancée to humiliate you too? Is there such a way to bully people?"

Victoria was about to say it was voluntary, but Daisy grabbed her hand and pulled her away, "Come on, I'll help you settle accounts with him!"

"Ms. Scott!" Victoria called out urgently, trying to stop Daisy, but unfortunately, she wasn't strong enough to break free.

William had changed into his groom's suit, a white suit that fit his tall and slender figure perfectly.

He hadn't put on any makeup, and his hair was the same as usual.

There wasn't much joy on his face, instead, he looked even colder than usual.

He stood in front of the mirror, picking up his tie, about to put it around his neck.

The door suddenly opened, and he turned his head.

Daisy stood at the door, pulling Victoria, her face full of anger.

William raised an eyebrow at her, then looked at Victoria behind her and couldn't help but smile, "How did you two get together?"

Daisy took a few steps forward, looking down at William, "William, how could you treat Victoria like this?"

"What did I do?" William raised an eyebrow nonchalantly, clearly not feeling any guilt for his actions.

"You still ask what you did?" Daisy stepped forward and grabbed his ear, gritting her teeth, "It's bad enough that you coerced a young girl, but you also made her be a bridesmaid. Do you really have to humiliate her like this? Is it very honorable to bully a helpless girl?"
