Chapter 66

Alice moved into The Scott Villa.

But her home was filled with minimalist gray furniture.

It didn't match Alice at all.

Who would have thought there would be such a big drama?

She liked mature and steady types?

Is she talking about Samuel?

William's eyes narrowed slightly, and he unconsciously tightened his grip on Alice's hand.

"Ouch!" Alice exclaimed softly, complaining in pain, "William, you're hurting me."

William snapped back to reality and realized he almost hurt Alice. He immediately let go and apologized, "I'm sorry, Alice."

"It's okay, I don't blame you," Alice said sweetly.

Then, she discreetly looked at Victoria, who was standing in front of the roses, blushing from their fragrance.

Victoria was wearing a black cropped wool sweater with jeans, a brown coat over it, her long hair tied up in a high ponytail, revealing her slender neck, looking particularly bright and dazzling.

Seeing her like this, a dark shadow flashed in Alice's eyes.

Victoria.

Alton felt a bit disappointed hearing Victoria's response.

But he didn't give up; instead, he became more determined and expressed his thoughts, "Victoria, although I can't be the way you like right now, I will work hard. Just wait and see!"

With that, he turned and ran off.

Leaving Victoria speechless, staring at the enormous bouquet of roses.

Victoria was worrying about how to handle the flowers when Wendy whispered in her ear, "Victoria, look over there, who is that?"

Following Wendy's gaze, Victoria saw William in a dark casual suit, looking relaxed.

He was holding the hand of Alice, who looked like a fairy tale princess.

They were a perfect match.

In Victoria's memory, she had never seen William shopping.

It seemed he was accompanying Alice to pick out furniture today.

He was really thoughtful.

And now, Alice no longer looked as pale and haggard as when she first saw her in the hospital.

Her face had a healthy rosy glow, and she wore a sweet, shy smile.

It seemed William was taking good care of her.

Seeing her radiant appearance, Victoria couldn't help but think of Ella's weak and miserable state in the hospital.

She remembered the hideous and terrifying wounds on her body.

And now, her sister Alice was holding her ex-fiancé's hand, looking sweet and happy.

The stark contrast left Victoria in a daze.

When she came back to her senses, William had already walked past her with Alice, expressionless.

Victoria stood there in a daze for a long time.

Until Wendy nudged her, "Victoria, are you okay?"

Victoria snapped back to reality and shook her head, "I'm fine. I was just thinking about how to handle all these roses."

Wendy looked at the crowd gathering around and suggested, "How about we make a rose display? After all, it's bought by a client's son, so it's reasonable to use it."

Victoria nodded in agreement, she had the same idea.

So Victoria and Wendy started arranging the roses.

William took Alice around the building.

The furniture here was all from internationally renowned brands, expensive and exquisite.

Alice liked a sheepskin sofa, soft and comfortable to touch, with a thick handmade blanket on it, which should be quite warm to lie on.

But it was a bit pricey, with a three-seater sofa priced at over a million dollars.

Alice hesitated upon hearing the price.

"William, is this sofa really that expensive?" she was a bit reluctant.

William lovingly patted Alice's head and bought it for her with a swipe of his card, smiling at Alice, "Whatever you like, I'll get it for you."

Alice was moved and threw herself into his arms, complaining, "William, you're so good to me. When I was in Valados, I lived in shabby apartments."

Hearing this, William tightened his arm around her soft waist and said in a deep voice, "You're the daughter of the Garcia family, and they treated you like that?"

Alice nodded, biting her lip, her eyes slightly red, "I don't blame them. The tuition at Valados is so expensive. It's good enough that they paid for my tuition. As for living expenses, I could earn them by working."

"You had to work to earn money?" William frowned, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Alice looked up at him with her watery eyes, pitifully, "Ella sacrificed so much for me. How could I complain to you behind her back? Besides, I didn't want you to worry about me."

William looked at Alice, suddenly at a loss for words.

After a while, he slowly said, "If you have any difficulties in the future, you must tell me."

Alice's face lit up with a joyful smile, "Okay!"

After chatting for a while, William picked out a few more pieces of furniture she liked, then took her hand and walked towards the door.

Victoria and Wendy found an empty spot in the hall, laid down a thick carpet, and arranged the roses neatly.

Finally, they set up a beautiful crystal glass roof over it.

Bathed in warm yellow light, the rose carpet seemed as splendid and fantastical as a dreamland.

"So beautiful!" Wendy exclaimed.

Victoria liked it too.

Their hard work was worth it.

As they admired the rose display, someone suddenly shouted, "Are you Victoria?"

Victoria turned her head.

She saw a young girl in a pink and purple winter dress, carrying a sheepskin handbag, with light makeup, glaring at her with eyes full of anger.

"You know me?"

Victoria was puzzled.

Sofia snorted coldly, "Of course I know you, Victoria. You're the one who seduced my boyfriend!"

Victoria frowned, about to say something.

Wendy was furious, "Who are you, crazy girl? What nonsense are you talking about?"

"Who I am is none of your business, but I can guarantee that Victoria is a flirt who seduces men everywhere!"

"You!" Wendy was so angry she couldn't speak.

Victoria stopped the furious Wendy, calmly looking at Sofia, and asked, "Who are you? If you don't tell me, I'll call the police."

"You dare ask who I am?" Sofia pointed at her, "Because of you, my boyfriend broke up with me."
