Chapter 67

"Who is your boyfriend? Please make it clear." Victoria raised an eyebrow and asked.

"My boyfriend is Alton. Stop playing dumb with me!" Sofia pointed at her angrily, as if she wanted to tear her apart.

Victoria was speechless, feeling a sense of helplessness.

"You misunderstood, I'm not familiar with Alton at all, and I don't like him." Victoria patiently explained, "Your breakup has nothing to do with me."

"Bullshit!"

"Stop making excuses here!" Sofia pointed at her and cursed, "You bitch, do you think I don't know who you are? Your dad designed a bridge that collapsed and killed dozens of people, and you're no better. You're just a slut who steals others' job opportunities by selling yourself, and you even seduce a rich guy who already has a fiancée. You're the worst of the worst, shameless!"

The onlookers were shocked and looked at Victoria in disbelief. They didn't expect such a seemingly innocent girl to have such a messy private life.

Some even took out their phones to secretly film the scene.

Upon hearing this, Victoria's deep eyes narrowed, and a cold light flashed.

She looked coldly at the aggressive Sofia and questioned in a cold voice, "Miss, do you have any evidence? If not, don't blame me for suing you for defamation!"

"You!"

"I advise you to leave quickly, or when the security comes, you won't be able to leave even if you want to."

"I'm not leaving. I must expose you! I want to see what qualifications you have to stay here!"

Victoria couldn't be bothered to deal with her.

"Wendy, let's go." Victoria pulled Wendy and walked around Sofia towards the exit.

Sofia panicked and rushed forward, blocking their way.

She pointed at Victoria and shouted, "Stop! Did I say you could leave?"

Victoria frowned and looked at her displeased, asking, "What do you want now?"

"You must promise me today to cut off all contact with Alton immediately! Otherwise..." she threatened viciously.

Victoria couldn't help but laugh bitterly, "Are you out of your mind? I already told you I'm not familiar with him. Do you not understand human language?"

"You!" Sofia was furious and raised her hand to slap Victoria.

But before she could touch Victoria, Wendy grabbed her wrist and looked at her disdainfully, "Do you have rabies? Barking and hitting people here! If you're sick, go get treated, don't go crazy outside."

With that, she pulled Victoria's hand and walked away.

Sofia was trembling with anger. Suddenly, she saw a tiger head ornament nearby, grabbed it without thinking, and threw it at Victoria while screaming, "You bitch! I'll kill you!"

Victoria was caught off guard and hit directly.

A sharp pain shot through her arm.

"Victoria! Are you okay?" Wendy was terrified.

Seeing this, Sofia laughed hysterically and even wanted to pick up another tiger head to throw at Victoria.

Suddenly, a hand grabbed her wrist and twisted it forcefully.

Sofia screamed in pain, feeling as if her entire arm was dislocated. She cried out in pain, tears almost streaming down her face.

"You bitch..."

Victoria endured the severe pain in her shoulder and looked up to see William with a grim face, throwing Sofia to the ground.

A crisp sound echoed through the hall.

William slapped her so hard that half of her face swelled up.

Sofia was stunned.

Victoria was also stunned.

William's cold gaze swept over the disheveled Sofia on the ground, then he turned to Victoria and asked in a deep voice, "Are you okay?"

Victoria held her shoulder and shook her head blankly.

She couldn't believe William to slap Sofia to defend her, which was beyond her expectations.

Seeing this, William's expression softened slightly. He helped Victoria sit on the sofa and said gently, "Sit down and rest for a while."

Victoria was dazed for a moment before she responded softly.

At this time, Wendy snapped out of her shock. She quickly approached Victoria and asked concernedly, "Victoria, how's your injury?"

Victoria shook her head, "It's okay, I'm fine."

Sofia got up from the ground, covering her face, and looked hatefully at the cold William who had suddenly appeared and hit her. She cried, "Are you also this woman's lover? I'm telling you, she's a slut who sleeps around. Don't be fooled by her pitiful appearance!"

"Shut up!" William scolded, his icy voice filled with murderous intent.

Sofia shivered but still shouted fearlessly, "Why are you so fierce? Am I wrong? She's a slut, a bitch!"

William's eyes turned cold, and he didn't want to waste any more words with her. He directly called the police.

"I just hit her once, and you hit me back. It's just a small matter, and you're calling the police? Who are you trying to scare?" Sofia sneered and then turned to Victoria, "Alton's family will never accept you someone like you. I advise you to give up early!"

"Have you said enough?" Wendy couldn't stand it anymore. She grabbed Sofia's hair and shook it hard, "Do you believe I'll hit you?"

Soon, the police arrived.

After investigating the surveillance and testimonies of the people around, Sofia was taken away for causing trouble.

Everything would be decided after Victoria's injury report came out.

Victoria wanted to take a cab to the hospital, but William stopped her with a look.

"Come with me!" he ordered coldly.

Victoria pursed her lips and obediently followed him to the parking lot.

Alice was already waiting in the car.

She sat in the passenger seat and greeted her with a gentle smile, "Ms. Carter."

Victoria nodded politely, "Hello, Ms. Garcia."

William glanced at her and sat directly in the driver's seat.

Victoria hesitated for a moment but eventually sat in the back seat.

As soon as the car door closed, a faint fragrance wafted into her nose. Victoria instinctively frowned but didn't show it.

She had always been somewhat allergic to perfume. William's car never had a perfume smell before.

It must be coming from Alice.

Victoria lowered her eyes and leaned against the car window, holding her arm and resting.

The car drove steadily forward, and Alice and William discussed how to arrange the furniture they had just bought.

William listened patiently and occasionally offered suggestions.

So they were already living together?

Victoria had never seen him so gentle before, and she couldn't help but feel a bit dazed.

Even with Ella, William never seemed so gentle and careful.

It seemed more like he was performing for the fiancée's title, without much genuine affection.

But Victoria could easily see the genuine affection he held for Alice in his eyes-a palpable adoration that betrayed the depth of his feelings.

True love, perhaps, was meant to describe this situation.

It was undoubtedly true love.

Victoria felt a strange bitterness in her heart, but what followed was relief and release.

He already had true love, so he would let her go, right?

"Ms. Carter, the boy who sent you roses is quite nice. You might want to consider him," Alice suddenly joked lightly.
