Chapter 108

She left someone to monitor them and report back, saying that Indigo had covered all the windows at home, not letting any light in.

They hid at home every day, not daring to step out.

How come Indigo was so bold today, daring to come to her company and cause trouble?

Seeing that Isabella wasn't giving them any face, Harper immediately stood up and angrily cursed at her, "What do you mean? Don't play dumb with me. You know exactly why we're here."

A cold glint flashed in Isabella's eyes as she stared at Harper, causing her to retract her outstretched hand in fear.

After all, this was the Wilson Group, and more importantly, Isabella's territory.

Now that she had transformed into the high and mighty heiress of the Wilson Group, they only dared to verbally bully Isabella. If they truly angered her, they wouldn't stand a chance against the security outside.

Isabella sneered, "Why should I know your purpose here? Are we that close?"

Harper knew she couldn't win against Isabella and didn't want to waste time.

She directly asked, "Give us Bianca back, and we won't hold this against you."

Isabella raised an eyebrow, surprised that Harper brought it up first.

Since that was the case, there was no need to hide anything.

Isabella replied, "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that? Where is Bianca? I've been looking for her for a long time, and she hasn't shown up. As her parents, I don't believe you have no contact with her."

Hearing this, Harper's eyes widened, "Isabella, you're the one who hid Bianca, and now you're asking us for her? How shameless can you be? If anything happens to Bianca, I won't let you off."

Indigo chimed in, "That's right, Bianca is important to us. If anything happens to her, you won't get away with it."

"And we're old now, with no money. You don't care about our well-being. We need Bianca to rely on for the rest of our lives. If we can't find her, we're not leaving today." Indigo wiped the corners of his eyes, pretending to be heartbroken over Bianca.

Harper held his hand, glaring at Isabella even more viciously. "Even your dad is saying this. Either you hand over Bianca and give us a hefty compensation, and we'll let this go, or..."

"Or what?" Isabella interrupted coldly, leaning back in her chair. "Bianca ran away from you. You couldn't keep an eye on her, and now you have the nerve to ask me for compensation? You really don't deserve to be parents. And you say I hid Bianca. Where's the evidence?"

Her people had followed Michael several times recently and hadn't seen Bianca with him, indicating that Bianca's hiding place was related to Indigo and Harper.

They hid Bianca and now came to her, making a big scene.

Pushing all the responsibility onto others was something they had perfected.

At the mention of evidence, Harper and Indigo exchanged a nervous glance.

If Isabella hadn't hidden Bianca, then it must have been Michael.

But they didn't dare to confront Michael, so they came to Isabella. Even if they couldn't find Bianca, extorting some money from Isabella would be good.

They didn't believe Michael would really harm Bianca.

Harper gritted her teeth, determined to take something. "Of course, we have evidence. Why else would we come to you? You kidnapped Bianca, and now you dare to say you did nothing. You should know kidnapping is a crime. If you don't release Bianca today, I'll have you sent to the police. I have nothing to lose, but you do. You represent the entire Wilson Family. If this gets out, it won't end well for you."

Harper was convinced that Isabella wouldn't dare call the police.

But Isabella's eyes lit up, and she smirked. "You can call the cop right now. I won't stop you, and I'm not afraid of the consequences."

Harper was at a loss for words. She had planned to get some information from Isabella and maybe some money, without expecting she would actually dare to call the police.

Isabella took out her phone. "If you won't call, I will. I'll have the cop investigate what Bianca did before she disappeared. There are cameras everywhere; it won't be hard to find out."

When she was about to press the dial button, Harper panicked.

She rushed forward to stop her. "What are you doing? Don't think I don't know how you high-society people operate. With the Wilson Group's influence in the eastern part of Valoria, you've probably already bought off those people. Even if the cop come, do you think they'll arrest you? They might even help you put on a show and pin the blame on us."

Harper was certain that Isabella had already colluded with those people.

Isabella spread her hands. "I've cooperated with you, but you don't want to call the cop. I've said Bianca isn't with me. If you want to find her, look elsewhere. Don't interfere with my work. But let me make it clear, the Wilson Group always operates above board. Stop slandering us with talk of bribing the cop. If there's any public opinion about this in the future, I'll sue you on behalf of the company!"

Isabella's tone was calm, but her threat was unmistakable.

She no longer considered Indigo her father. If they dared to harm the Wilson Group, she wouldn't let them off.

Harper wanted to curse back, but facing Isabella's sharp gaze, she didn't dare say another word.

Isabella stretched her neck, losing patience. "Ten seconds. If I see you again, I'll have you thrown out."

Her expression was cold, and it was clear she wasn't joking.

Suddenly, Indigo sighed, his eyes reddening. "Isabella, do you not even recognize me as your father anymore?"

His voice was hoarse, filled with unspeakable sadness and pain, but Isabella felt nothing but exasperation.

Honestly, Indigo's acting wasn't as good as Harper's. At least Harper knew how to read the room.

Seeing Isabella's lack of response, Indigo forced out a couple of tears. "I know you've resented me all these years, but I had no choice. Your mother died when I was still young. I couldn't spend my life alone with just one child. Now that you're divorced, you should understand how I felt back then."

Isabella couldn't help but twitch her mouth.

How could Indigo have the nerve to say such things? He even found a justification for his infidelity? And he wanted her to understand him? It was really ridiculous.
