Chapter 110
Isabella played the external sound, not expecting Michael to start with such a sentence.
She naturally understood that he wanted her to keep her distance from Emilio.
But she didn't want to discuss this with him now; she had more important things to do.
"Michael, Harper is causing a scene at my company demanding Bianca. You need to come quickly and take her away." She thought Michael would make excuses to cover Bianca's whereabouts again.
Unexpectedly, he just paused for a moment and then agreed good-naturedly. "I'll be right over."
The call ended.
Hearing that Michael was coming, Harper's face was full of pride and arrogance. "I knew Michael only has feelings for Bianca, Isabella, you should give up. You haven't won Michael's heart in three years. The position of Mrs. Brown is definitely going to be Bianca's."
Isabella said nothing, quietly watching Harper already fantasizing about a future of wealth and prosperity.
Isabella knew better than anyone Bianca's place in Michael's heart.
But when she heard Michael say he was coming right away, her heart felt like it was blocked by a stone.
Sure enough, when it came to Bianca, he always got nervous.
Indigo's face was even more unsightly at this moment.
He never expected that after finally regaining some dignity as a father in front of Isabella, he would be made so awkward by Harper's words.
If he hadn't said those things earlier, would Michael have shown him a bit more respect when he arrived?
It was all Isabella's fault; she could have said it earlier, but she had to say it right after he made a vow.
Michael arrived quickly, taking just over twenty minutes.
The distance between the Brown Group and the Wilson Group was about the fastest one could drive.
Seeing Michael arrive, Harper was as excited as if she had seen a family. She grabbed his hand and wouldn't let go. "Michael, that bitch Isabella said Bianca is with you, is it true?"
"I understand you want to protect Bianca, but you should have told us. I've been so scared these past few days that I couldn't sleep, having nightmares of Bianca being bullied," As she spoke, Harper even started to tear up. "Fortunately, you protected her. Bianca is finally going to have a good life. She has never had a good life, and I couldn't give her the best. But with you around, I can rest easy."
Isabella raised her eyebrows and watched the drama unfold; she had to admit Harper's acting skills were much better than Bianca's.
No matter what, Harper had climbed her way up as a mistress, so her emotional intelligence was exceptionally high.
Today, she wanted to see how Michael would handle this.
She had previously asked him for Bianca, but he had refused to give her up.
Now that Bianca's parents were asking for her, could he still keep Bianca hidden?
Michael frowned and pulled Harper's hand away, his tone calm and devoid of any emotion. "Bianca was indeed taken away by someone I sent, but she has left Evergreen City that very day."
Upon hearing this, Isabella's brow twitched, and she thought Michael was playing tricks on her.
Harper was not surprised; instead, she smiled and leaned in. "I understand. You must have sent Bianca abroad to protect her so that Isabella wouldn't trouble her. Thank you for your efforts."
But Michael's next words shocked everyone present. "Bianca brought this upon herself. No one is protecting her. She was sent to the Auroria mining district!"
Michael threw a stack of photos onto the table, each one showing Bianca's face, but the injuries on her face were horrifying. "These are her recent activities. You wanted to find her, here she is."
Staring at the scattered photos on the table, Harper's mind seemed to explode.
She could hardly believe what she was seeing.
Her fingers trembled as she picked up the photos, but the images made her almost vomit.
There were pictures of Bianca being beaten and cursed while pinned to the ground.
There were pictures of her being dragged by her hair into a small dark room, her clothes torn.
Most of the photos showed layers of scars on her body, not just from beatings but from other abuses.
Each gruesome photo was followed by an even more horrifying scene.
Harper couldn't bear to look any longer. She turned red-eyed and lunged at Michael. "Michael, you bastard, Bianca loved you so much. How could you do this to her?"
Michael easily pushed her away, his expression still cold. "I have said her fate was her own doing. You know better than anyone what she did and how she deceived me all these years. Do you want me to list them one by one?"
"I don't want to hear it!" Harper screamed, covering her ears, "You're all crazy. Bianca just wanted to marry you. What did she do wrong to deserve this? This is human trafficking. I'm going to call the cop. I'm going to put you all in jail. I'm going to save Bianca. She's only twenty-two. She's still so young."
Harper, nearly hysterical, took out her phone, on the verge of a breakdown.
From start to finish, Isabella just stood by, squinting her eyes and watching.
She was already shocked when Michael mentioned sending Bianca to the Auroria mining district, but she still watched everything unfold calmly.
At this moment, Michael walked up to Harper and, seeing her trembling hands about to call the police, said, "No need to bother."
Seeing his face, Harper backed away in fear. "What are you going to do? You took Bianca, and now you want to take me too?"
Michael shook his head, but his next words were even more terrifying than sending Harper away. "I've already called the cop. They should be here soon."
When Isabella called, he had already prepared everything.
He had said the Taylor Family should disappear.
He was only a few days late, but they couldn't wait any longer and even went to Isabella.
Just as Harper was in a state of panic and confusion, someone knocked on the door outside. "Mr. Brown, we're from the Evergreen City Police Department."
"Come in!" As soon as Michael finished speaking, a group of uniformed police officers flooded into the small reception room. The two leading officers walked directly up to Indigo and Harper.
They showed two pairs of silver handcuffs. "Mr and Mrs. Taylor, right? Sixteen years ago, Ms. Wilson's death in the hospital was suspicious, and you two were the only ones present. Now someone has accused you of murder. Please come with us."
With a click, Indigo and Harper were handcuffed simultaneously.
There was no way they could find anything from over a decade ago, but Harper couldn't let Bianca be tortured to death by those beasts.
"Wait, I want to report a crime!" Harper looked at Michael. "I want to report him for human trafficking. He sold my daughter Bianca to the Auroria mining district. You can't just arrest me. His crime is even worse. He must be punished."
