Chapter 159

Their gazes met in the air, a silent clash of sharpness.

Immediately, a fierce look flashed in Michael's eyes as he extended his hand towards Nolan, "You like Isabella, don't you? How about I give you a chance? As long as you beat me here, I'll agree to divorce her and give you the opportunity. If you lose, go back abroad and never appear in front of her again."

Michael taunted Nolan, wanting to test his true nature to see if he was really disabled or if he was faking it.

If his leg disability was faked, then everything Nolan had shown him all this time was a lie.

However, if he was willing to give up his disguise for Isabella, and if Isabella truly liked Nolan, he could step aside and let her find true love.

But if Nolan did all this for himself, he would teach him a harsh lesson and never let him appear in front of Isabella again.

"Come on, don't waste time." Michael stretched his neck and rolled up his sleeves. "To be fair, I'll use one hand, and you just need to give it your all."

With that, he began to prepare for action.

Nolan didn't show any fear, his eyes even revealing a hint of anticipation. "Come on."

He had long wanted to have a good fight with Michael.

He gritted his teeth, about to roll up his sleeves, but then he saw a familiar figure behind Michael.

The next second, he gently lowered his wrist and sighed softly, "Michael, why have we come to this point? I'm your brother. If you have any dissatisfaction with me, you can say it. You can see my condition now. How can I fight you? If you're angry because of Isabella, I can explain. We're really just friends, not what you think."

Nolan's voice was light and helpless.

He seemed like a brother comforting his younger sibling, almost baring his heart to Michael.

But Michael was already in battle mode, determined to force out Nolan's true self.

"Nolan, if you're still a man, show me your true skills and fight me fair and square. Don't show me that hypocritical act." With that, Michael swung his fist heavily towards Nolan in the wheelchair.

Suddenly, a desperate voice stopped him. "Michael, are you crazy? Stop!"

Isabella's face changed as she ran over, spreading her arms to shield Nolan, her eyes red with anger at Michael.

If she hadn't come back out of worry, she couldn't imagine what Michael would do to Nolan. He was simply insane to aim his fist at his brother.

"Isabella, move!" Seeing her, Michael's face darkened. He couldn't stand her protecting Nolan like this.

Seeing that Michael had no intention of lowering his clenched fist, Isabella was in disbelief.

She stood firmly in front of him, not budging an inch. "Michael, he's your brother. He can't even move, and you're swinging your fist at him? Michael, are you still a man?"

Michael's gaze was fixed on Nolan hiding behind Isabella. He was now certain that Nolan was hiding something upon his return.

If he didn't seize this opportunity to expose Nolan's true self, it would be even harder to catch him later.

"Isabella, who told you to come back?" Michael's tone was slightly displeased; he didn't want her to see these messy things.

Isabella was furious. "If I don't come back, you're gonna go after Nolan?"

"Michael, if you dare to touch Nolan today, we're done. If you want to hit him , hit me too!" She raised her face, her eyes resolute, standing against him to the end.

Michael's face tightened, his fist trembling slightly from her actions.

His eyes darkened. "Isabella, are you turning against me for him?"

She had agreed to try for a baby with him, and she might already be carrying his child.

She knew he couldn't hurt her; but she still spoke to him like this, using her body to shield Nolan.

"Yes!" Isabella responded decisively, her eyes filled with anger and resentment towards Michael.

Sensing her change, Michael felt all his strength and tactics drained away, only leaving a sharp pain in his chest.

"Fine, don't regret what you said today." Michael feared that if he stayed another second, he would explode, so he gritted his teeth and left.

Isabella bit her lips, not letting her emotions show.

She and Michael could never be together again.

Seeing Michael's figure quickly disappear from the garden, Isabella turned to Nolan and began to push his wheelchair out.

The farce ended, leaving only silence.

Nolan knew Isabella was also upset and gently advised, "Isabella, you don't have to do this for me. You know Michael's personality. The more you go against him, the more it provokes him. I can't move, so let him do what he wants. As long as you two can reconcile, it doesn't matter if I take a beating."

Nolan spoke lightly, but his words stung Isabella's heart.

She had seen everything Nolan had done for her over the years.

Now that he was back, he still had to worry about her love life. How could she not feel for him? But Michael's attitude also hurt her.

She bit her lip, not letting her tears fall. "Nolan, I'm sorry you had to suffer because of me, but don't mention reconciling with him again. I can't trust him anymore."

He was about to hit Nolan. How could she still think well of him?

"But you were married, and you liked him for so long. Can you really let him go?" Nolan knew her well, who still had hope to her marriage.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have endured three years of coldness and still loved Michael.

But this time, she was truly hurt.

If he could attack Nolan over a small matter, would he also attack her if she had dinner with another man?

"Whether I can let go or not, I won't let myself fall into it again." Isabella took a deep breath, realizing something. "Nolan, I think maybe I was wrong from the start."
