Chapter 186

Whispering Pines Estates, Seaview Villa.

At ten o'clock in the morning, in the late autumn weather, the sunshine on the body was just the most comfortable.

Isabella sat on the swing with a blanket draped over her, eyes closed, feeling the sea breeze on her face.

She had been staying here alone for the past few days, quiet and beautiful.

No one disturbed her, no one annoyed her.

It was simply too enjoyable.

She didn't even mention it to her uncles, sneaking into the villa alone at night, and no one knew she was here.

Just then, her phone suddenly rang.

It was her friend Olivia calling.

Ever since that day, she had blocked and deleted all of Michael's contact information, completely kicking him out of her world.

Thinking about the last time she and Olivia chatted all night here, she hadn't seen Olivia since.

She quickly answered the phone, joking with her in a good mood.

"Olivia, how do you have time to call me now? Shouldn't you be busy shooting a big movie?"

She really hoped this beautiful moment could be shared with Olivia.

She always kept herself so busy, with no free time at all.

Who knows how far she plans to go before she stops to take a break.

Olivia's voice on the other end was low, like she was hiding in some corner, speaking secretly.

"Isabella, what's going on with you and Michael? Did you have another fight with him?"

It wasn't surprising for her to have a tiff with Michael, but why would Olivia suddenly call to ask about it?

Isabella frowned and sat up straight, "Olivia, did something happen?"

Could Michael have gone to trouble Olivia?

Olivia sighed helplessly, "What do you think? You suddenly disappeared, and Michael came to find me. He showed up in person and scared me!"

Talking about this, Olivia was still holding back her anger.

"It's one thing for him to come looking for you, but you, you even kept it from me. If Michael hadn't come asking where you went, I wouldn't have known you quietly disappeared in Evergreen City. Be honest, where are you?"

"I'm coming to find you right now!"

Her scenes were almost done, and even if she left for a few days, Kaylee wouldn't say anything.

Besides, Isabella was her best friend. If something happened to Isabella, how could she work in peace?

She hadn't slept well last night, having nightmares.

Isabella wasn't afraid of letting Olivia know where she was, but she was afraid of implicating Olivia.

But now, hearing her voice on the phone, if she didn't say anything, Olivia might just break off their friendship.

"Well, I'm at the place where we drank last time, you should remember."

"I know that place."

Of course, Olivia remembered that house, where she almost seduced Atticus while he was drunk. She would never forget it.

After hanging up, Olivia asked Kaylee and the crew for a few days off.

Considering she had been working late to catch up on scenes, Kaylee waved her off.

Olivia specifically changed cars midway before entering the villa area where Isabella was.

She was afraid Michael's people were secretly following her.

Fortunately, the security in the villa area was extremely strict. Without direct orders from the house owner, outsiders couldn't get in.

Olivia wrapped herself up like a mummy, and as soon as she entered the room, she took off all the cumbersome things.

She took the water cup Isabella handed her and drank it all in one go, then sat straight across from her, taking a deep breath, "Tell me, what happened?"

Isabella pursed her lips.

Olivia put the cup down, her eyes seeing right through her, "Don't try to make excuses, I want the truth!"

"What did that bad man Michael do to you? You're even willing to have his child, what more does he want?"

After knowing each other for over ten years, Olivia could see right through her in matters like this.

Isabella really didn't want her to worry about these messy things while being so busy.

"Really, it's nothing. I've just been too tired lately, so I wanted some quiet time alone."

Isabella said, sitting next to Olivia, resting her head on Olivia's shoulder, her voice soft.

Olivia's anger dissipated, leaving only a long sigh.

Just as Isabella understood her, she also knew what Isabella was thinking.

If Michael hadn't hurt her so badly, the usually unbreakable Isabella wouldn't suddenly quiet down and run to a secluded place to nurse her emotional wounds alone.

She just felt heartache, heartache that Isabella was bullied and didn't even say anything, bearing the pain alone.

"Isabella, don't forget, you still have me, Daniel, and your loving uncles. If you don't tell us, we won't know what happened."

"How can we avenge you?"

Hearing this, Isabella felt both warm and sad.

She shook her head, "Olivia, you don't need to avenge me, I've already figured it out."

That night, she secretly vowed to completely separate from Michael, never to contact him again.

But in these quiet days, she thought a lot.

Right now, it seemed almost impossible.

She had promised Daniel to have the child, and she couldn't go back on her word.

Hiding in this house was just her way of not knowing how to face herself, temporarily shutting herself off.

"No, this revenge must be taken!"

Olivia was so angry her fists were clenched.

Michael had bullied Isabella so much, why should he be fine outside while Isabella bore all the grievances and pain?

"I knew it, Michael always has that high and mighty look, but he rushed to the set that night to ask me about you. He must be guilty, wanting to find you to apologize."

"Isabella, I'm telling you, a man like Michael is absolutely not worth it!"

Olivia was furious at Michael's behavior of only apologizing after doing something wrong.

She gritted her teeth, "Even if he begs you to go back this time, don't go with him. A bad man like Michael doesn't deserve you. You're so perfect, you deserve someone better."

Seeing this, Isabella quickly reached out to pat Olivia's back, "Olivia, I'm fine now, don't be angry."

"Don't worry, I will eventually divorce him."

But before that, she had to fulfill her promise to Daniel.

The best outcome for her and Michael would be to peacefully divorce after she got pregnant, and she would take the child far away, never to see him again.

"Not just divorce, we need to find a man who is better than Michael in every way and live a sweet life in front of him, to piss him off!"

After saying this, Olivia already had someone in mind.

"Isabella, there are so many men in the world, if one doesn't work, we'll find another. I've been in the industry for so many years, I have plenty of quality resources."

"Wait, I'll arrange for a tall, handsome, well-mannered, and obedient young man to come over right now."
