Chapter 194
"I just want you to stay with me, that's my only condition."
Isabella's body stiffened, and she couldn't break free. She said helplessly, "Didn't you hear Olivia calling me? If I don't go down, she'll come up soon, and you'll still be discovered."
Before Isabella could finish speaking, Atticus downstairs sensed something was wrong.
"Isn't Isabella already awake? Why isn't she responding when I call her?"
"How about I give her a call?"
He wasn't worried about the security of Whispering Pines Estates, but recently Michael had been frantically looking for Isabella, and he feared something might have happened.
Olivia, on the other hand, thought Atticus was making a big deal out of nothing.
She immediately interrupted him, "We've only been out for less than half an hour. How could anything have happened to Isabella? Maybe she fell asleep again."
"She's not feeling well, so don't disturb her."
Isabella had used her period as an excuse to get both of them to go out together, and they had different thoughts about it.
But Atticus thought about how Isabella had been in a bad mood lately, so it was better not to disturb her.
It was just a bit awkward for the two of them to stay downstairs.
On the second floor, Michael smirked, released Isabella's hand, and whispered in her ear.
"Now you don't have to go down. They all think you've fallen asleep again."
Isabella felt a bit embarrassed, glanced at him, and snorted coldly, "Michael, don't think you can hide here safely. Do you even know what time it is? Atticus is making breakfast, and Olivia will come upstairs to bring me something. Who knows what they'll do to you if they see you."
She sneered twice, and Michael didn't need to guess what she left unsaid.
Isabella just wanted to provoke Michael, but her words inadvertently reminded him.
He couldn't stay here for long.
If he got caught, it would be hard to explain.
"If I can't hide, then you come with me."
Isabella rolled her eyes at him, "Are you out of your mind? Can't you see Atticus and the others are downstairs? If you go out now, it's the same as getting caught."
But this house did have an exit that could avoid the first floor, leaving from another direction on the second floor.
But why should she help Michael escape?
She would be happy if Atticus caught him and gave him a beating.
Unexpectedly, Michael stared into her eyes and suddenly brought his handsome face closer.
With a mischievous smile, he said, "Do you really think I came here without any discoveries? These kinds of estates usually have more than one exit. You're the owner here, don't you know?"
Isabella's heart tightened, and before she could deny it.
Michael reached out his hand, "The key, take me there."
Isabella's eyes widened instantly. How could he be so righteous, "Michael, this is my house. Why should I take you to the back door and help you leave?"
He was delusional!
"You won't send me off, right?"
Michael's mischievous smile deepened, "Then we'll wait for Atticus and the others to come up and see us together. Do you think they'll believe I sneaked in, or that you told me the location and even opened the door for me?"
"Michael, you're despicable."
Michael raised an eyebrow, indifferent.
He knew her too well. She wouldn't let herself be misunderstood like this.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the back door of the villa. Isabella took out the key and opened the door, then stepped back.
She raised her chin at Michael, "Aren't you leaving?"
"If Atticus finds you, you won't be able to leave."
This house was her private space, and the last thing she wanted was for Michael to find it.
Who knew Michael would still find it and use their marriage documents to get in, which was extremely hateful.
"I didn't say I wouldn't leave, but we're leaving together."
The next second, before Isabella could react, Michael picked her up and left through the back door.
The car was parked outside, and Michael carried her all the way out.
Fortunately, the back door didn't go through the main gate, so he wasn't afraid of being discovered.
Besides, he was carrying his wife Isabella back to his house, and no one could stop him.
During this time, Isabella struggled constantly, but Michael was determined to take her away.
No matter how she fought, he remained unmoved.
She was so angry that she hit and cursed him, "Michael, you lunatic, put me down. Who wants to go with you? That's my house, and I can stay as long as I want."
Isabella's strength was like scratching an itch to Michael, with no deterrent effect.
To outsiders, it looked like a couple having a quarrel.
"Michael, if you don't put me down, I'll scream and say you illegally trespassed. Just wait to be... mmm!"
A light kiss, and Isabella instantly seemed to be under a spell.
She looked at Michael in disbelief.
"Be good, or I'll spank you hard."
Whether it was the kiss or Michael's spanking threat, Isabella didn't say another word.
Until she was stuffed into the car and left Whispering Pines Estates.
The car drove into the city and stopped in front of a restaurant Michael frequented.
The waiter handed over the menu, and Michael asked Isabella to order, "Aren't you hungry? See what you want to eat?"
After disappearing for several days, he thought she was comfortably enjoying life in the villa Atticus had given her.
But when he saw her pale face and noticeably thinner body, how could he not feel distressed?
So he had to take her away.
With him watching, at least she would eat properly.
But Isabella no longer believed in his good intentions because every time she ended up disappointed.
"No need, I suddenly lost my appetite. Even if you order, I can't eat."
Just looking at him made her too angry to eat.
She had been tempted by the smell of Atticus's buttered toast earlier, but after Michael's antics.
She had no appetite left.
Now she just wanted to go back and sleep well. She had stayed up too late writing music last night, and her thoughts were too active, causing her to sleep poorly.
Especially in the past few days, she often felt sleepy and lacked energy.
Seeing Isabella's lack of interest, Michael didn't force her. He ordered some of her favorite main dishes and let the waiter prepare them.
Isabella didn't waste any time and directly asked him, "Michael, what do you want by taking me out of the villa?"
After speaking, she suddenly recalled the scene in the car and sneered.
"Could it be that Mr. Brown got interested in the car that night and didn't finish playing, so he took the risk to find me just to recreate that scene?"
