Chapter 198

"As a woman, if she can't have children, what value does she have left? You know, the Brown Group is a big family. Without children, wouldn't they be unable to find an heir?"

When there were only two people, Violet dropped all pretense.

Especially when she mentioned the heir, the desire in her eyes was unmistakable.

Isabella squinted her eyes and sneered, "Ms. Cooper, you're so worried about the Brown Family's children. Could it be that you want to have a child for the Brown Family yourself?"

How could Isabella not see through Violet's intentions?

From the first time Violet saw Michael at her birthday party, she had made it very clear.

If it were someone else, hearing a woman provoke her like this, she would have lost her temper long ago.

But Violet was dealing with Isabella.

Isabella was the heir to the Wilson Group, a lady from the Wilson Family. How could she possibly lose her composure over a few provocative words from Violet?

Besides, she no longer had any extravagant hopes for Michael. She didn't want Michael anymore, so whether or not to have children was up to her.

When did it become Violet's place to mock her?

But Violet felt no shame. Instead, she became even more smug after hearing Isabella's words.

"If Ms. Taylor is willing to divorce Mr. Brown sooner, it's not impossible for me and Mr. Brown to have a child."

She knew that Michael was also being pressured by the Brown Family. If Isabella left and she gave birth to the Brown Family's first child, her status would surely be recognized.

The position of Mrs. Brown would be hers.

"Are you sure you can have children?"

Isabella shook her head lightly, with a look of disbelief, "Have you had a full body check-up? Have you done a pregnancy test?"

"Having a child isn't something you can achieve just by talking. If you haven't even done the most basic pregnancy test, how can you be so sure you can have a child?"

"You!"

Violet's face turned red and white, unable to say a word in rebuttal.

"I'm still young. Why wouldn't I be able to have children? I don't need to do such tests. I can still have children."

Violet, relying on her younger age, didn't take Isabella's words seriously at all.

In Violet's view, this was just a superficial matter. She was still young, and getting pregnant would be easy.

Isabella sighed and advised, "Being young is good, but didn't you just say that the Brown Family is not an ordinary family but a big family? If you go through all the trouble to marry Michael but can't have children, do you think the Brown Family will tolerate you?"

"If you ask me, you should plan ahead and get a comprehensive check-up to ensure you can have children. Then, you can show the pregnancy test report to the Brown Family. Maybe Aiden will acknowledge you as Mrs. Brown because of the check-up."

When she said these words, Isabella's expression was so calm it was as if she were talking about someone else's business.

She knew that Aiden only recognized her as Michael's wife, but she would eventually break her promise.

Aiden was so eager to hold her and Michael's child. After she divorced Michael, someone new would replace her sooner or later.

She no longer cared who that person was.

"What do you mean by that? Are you telling me to use my womb as a bargaining chip?"

"And whether I can have children or whether the Brown Family will acknowledge my status has nothing to do with you, right? What gives you the right to make choices for me? It's ridiculous!"

Violet felt uncomfortable at the thought of putting the matter of having children on the table for negotiation with the Brown Family.

Besides, Isabella was just an outsider. What right did she have to say these things?

Isabella sneered. So, Violet wasn't as stupid as she thought.

When Violet first mocked Isabella for not being able to have children, she should have expected this outcome.

"So, Ms. Cooper, you do know you have no right to interfere in whether others can have children?"

"Then please keep your mouth shut in the future. If I hear such disgusting words again, it won't be resolved with just a warning."

"And stay away from me. Hearing your voice makes me want to vomit."

Isabella covered her mouth, pretending to gag, scaring Violet into taking two steps back.

Ten Violets wouldn't be a match for her.

"You, you!"

Violet's face turned pale with anger. Knowing she couldn't outtalk Isabella, she threw out a harsh remark, "Isabella, don't be so smug in front of me. You and Michael are destined to divorce. I'll be waiting for you to be kicked out of the Brown Family."

Once their marriage was completely over, it would be Violet's time to shine.

Violet angrily stomped away in her high heels.

Isabella, standing in place, squinted her eyes at Violet's somewhat familiar figure.

After thinking for a moment, she took out her phone and called her subordinate.

"Keep an eye on Violet's every move and report to me at any time!"

Isabella had been suspecting whether Violet's true identity was Bianca.

But Violet was too calm, and she couldn't find any flaws.

However, she still wanted to find clues about Harper from Violet.

Even if there was the slightest chance, she would never give up on finding Harper.

Harper was the suspect in Grace's murder.

When Isabella returned to the private room, she only saw Michael there.

Violet and Nolan were both gone.

Michael, sitting in the chair, had a cold expression, his eyes deep and unreadable.

Isabella walked over and asked Michael, puzzled.

"Where are they? Why did they leave?"

If it weren't for Nolan comforting her over the phone last time, she might not have recovered so quickly.

She hadn't had a chance to talk to Nolan yet, and now he was gone. Isabella felt a bit disappointed.

Seeing her reluctant expression, Michael was filled with jealousy.

She wanted to see Nolan so much that she was reluctant even when he left.

"I don't know. If you want to know why, you can call him now and ask!"

Michael said sulkily.

"You're right."

Isabella didn't notice the difference in his tone and took out her phone.

Nolan left without saying goodbye. Was he in a hurry because something happened?

She had just found his number and was about to call when a big hand suddenly snatched her phone and placed it on the table.

"Isabella, do you have to act like this in front of me?"

Michael was so angry that he couldn't control his expression.

She knew he cared most about her ambiguous relationship with Nolan, yet she still wanted to call Nolan in front of him?

Was she trying to drive him crazy?

"The more I don't want you to have contact with Nolan, the closer you want to get to him?"

Isabella was stunned, "Weren't you the one who told me to call?"
