Chapter 219
Isabella thought for a moment and decided not to go back with Atticus and Holden for now.
She really didn't know how to face Daniel right now.
"Uncle Atticus, I don't want to go back now. Can you take me back to Whispering Pines Estates? I don't want to startle Grandpa."
Before Atticus could say anything, Holden disagreed. "Why not go back? Isabella, the Wilson Family is your home. If you don't go back, how worried will Dad be about you?"
"Uncle Holden, I..." Isabella couldn't express her suffering.
It was totally Michael's fault, but she had to bear the consequences. Because of this, she didn't even dare to face Daniel.
She even had to refuse the good intentions of her uncles.
"Isabella, listen to me and go home. Whatever the issue is, we'll solve it together. Don't keep it to yourself, okay?" Atticus calmly persuaded Isabella.
At this time, they wouldn't feel at ease letting her go back to Whispering Pines Estates alone, especially since she was pregnant. Bottling up her emotions wasn't a good thing.
Isabella understood Atticus's point, but she was really scared, afraid that Daniel might have another episode like last time.
She couldn't bear it.
"Uncle Atticus, but I'm worried that Grandpa might notice..."
Before Isabella could finish, Atticus interrupted her, giving her confidence, "Isabella, don't think of Dad as too weak. He only cares about you, not those outsiders."
In their hearts, no matter how powerful the Brown Family was, it had nothing to do with the Wilson Family. If Michael couldn't bring happiness to Isabella, then he was a stranger to the Wilson Family.
Moreover, it was Daniel who persuaded Isabella to visit Aiden at the Brown Family temporarily.
If she didn't go home with them, Daniel would definitely be too worried to sleep.
When Michael's actions were exposed, Daniel, who had been kept in the dark, would be the one who couldn't bear it.
Instead of waiting for him to find out and get angry, it was better for Isabella to tell him the truth.
Seeing Isabella lower her head in silence, Atticus didn't say more, giving her ample time to consider.
After all, the journey home was long, and no matter what decision she made, they would respect her opinion.
Unlike the quiet and harmonious atmosphere here, the lakeside villa where Isabella had left was in chaos.
On the wooden floor of the hall, Michael was kneeling upright in the middle.
There were already several long blood marks on his back, but he gritted his teeth and didn't say a word of begging.
Aiden was sitting on a chair in front of him, gripping his cane tightly, staring angrily at the disappointing Michael, breathing heavily.
Now that Isabella had been driven away by him, only the Brown Family members were left, and he didn't need to care about face anymore.
From the moment he stepped into this house, his dignity had been completely lost by Michael!
"Michael, do you have anything to say?"
Aiden raised the cane in his hand again. Even if he was physically exhausted, he had to teach Michael a harsh lesson.
Otherwise, how could he face Isabella, how could he face the Wilson Family!
But Michael, kneeling on the ground, looked indifferent. With his strength, he could completely resist Aiden's anger and beating.
But he didn't.
His hands were clasped behind his back, and he lowered his noble head.
"Grandpa, go ahead. I have no defense."
He didn't know how Aiden found this place. He complied with Violet's purpose just to get some information from her.
He didn't even swallow a sip of that wine, so how could he have any other thoughts about her?
The only person he liked was Isabella.
But what he didn't expect was that Aiden, Isabella, and the Wilson Family members all appeared here and caught him and Isabella sitting on the bed together.
Isabella had already left him. She didn't even look at him. Now, no matter what he explained, no one would believe it.
Since Aiden wanted to vent his anger for her, why should he say more?
If Aiden wanted to hit, let him hit.
Hearing Michael's words, Aiden sneered coldly, "You have some backbone, still protecting Violet, aren't you? Even for Isabella, I will beat you to death today!"
Aiden's cane hit Michael's back hard, making a dull sound.
But Aiden had no intention of stopping, his eyes full of disappointed anger.
It was because he had spoiled Michael too much that he had become such an irresponsible scoundrel.
It was his failure to discipline Michael that led to today's consequences.
Aiden's blows soon caused blood to seep from Michael's body, staining the white shirt he was wearing, making it particularly conspicuous.
Seeing that continuing to hit him would really cause an accident, Felix, standing nearby, couldn't care about his status and stepped forward to stop him.
"Mr. Brown, stop. You'll kill him."
Aiden knew how heavy his blows were, but Michael was like a mute today.
Even after being beaten like this, he didn't beg for mercy or admit his mistake, leaving Aiden no chance to let him go.
Aiden could only get angrier the more he thought about it, and the angrier he got, the more he wanted to hit Michael.
"Felix, you do this!" Aiden took a breath and directly threw the cane in his hand to Felix, who was stopping him.
He was so old, and after tossing around for so long in the middle of the night, he was already exhausted and about to collapse.
"Mr. Brown..." Felix was stunned.
He never expected that he came to mediate but ended up being the one to hit?
"Go ahead! I told you to hit, so hit. Michael deserves a beating. Only when he admits his mistake and agrees to live well with Isabella will it end."
Aiden sat on the chair and ordered sternly.
Felix held the cane, feeling very troubled. Even though Aiden said so, he didn't dare to really hit Michael.
Michael was the president of the Brown Group, the future leader of the Brown Family. No matter how bold he was, he couldn't do it.
Just as he didn't know what to do, a scream came from the second floor.
Violet ran down, draped in a coat.
She rushed to Michael's side, looked at his back with distress, and cried to Aiden, pleading for him.
"Grandpa, please stop. It's my fault. I shouldn't have agreed to have dinner with him. If you want to hit someone, hit me."
This action stunned Felix.
But fortunately, with Violet's intervention, he didn't have to hit Michael.
He quietly stood by Aiden's side, waiting to see how Holden would deal with Violet.
Aiden was already full of anger with no outlet, and Violet had come to him herself.
"Who are you to call me Grandpa?" Aiden snorted coldly, his eyes sharp, "I ask you, whose family are you from, daring to seduce Michael by my side? You don't want to stay in Evergreen City?"
