Chapter 305
"I don't believe it, do you really have no feelings for me at all?"
Aaron couldn't bear to let her go just like that. He reached out and pulled her into his arms, whispering, "I know you have concerns, but I can solve them."
But he didn't expect that Renee had already seen through their relationship.
With one sentence, she shattered the impossibility of their feelings.
"Solve? How do you plan to solve it? Are you going to leave Michael and come with me, or do you want me to abandon everything and leave with you, ending up with nothing?"
Renee shook her head, "Aaron, you think too simply. Our relationship can only be that of enemies, opposites, and we can never be together."
Although she didn't deny that a man like Aaron did attract her, she understood how difficult it had been for her to get to where she was today.
She couldn't give up everything for love!
"I'll pretend that nothing happened today, and please don't bother me again, okay?"
Feeling Aaron's accelerated heartbeat, Renee pushed him away despite her discomfort.
She was never someone who would get entangled in self-doubt.
If she couldn't see a result, she wouldn't let herself get involved.
Aaron's arms were empty as Renee left him. He knew that what she said wasn't a lie but something she had seriously considered.
They both had their own careers and difficulties, and it wasn't realistic for either of them to give up for the other.
At that moment, Renee's phone rang.
It displayed an unknown number.
She assumed it was a client inquiring about a VIP card and quickly answered, "This is Renee, who is this?"
A charming woman's voice came from the phone, but her tone was condescending. It was Bianca, who had regained her freedom.
"I'm at a coffee shop downtown. Come pick me up immediately."
"And the house in the western suburbs has been exposed. I need a new place."
Renee had no choice but to comply. Bianca was close to that person, and Renee had to listen to her.
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Bianca responded coldly, "Hmm, and get me a new car while you're at it. It'll be more convenient for me to handle things myself."
Renee had no choice but to agree to Bianca's demands unconditionally.
Even if she was unwilling, she had to do it.
After hanging up, Renee was about to leave when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Aaron was there to catch her.
"Renee, what's wrong?"
Seeing Renee, who was fine a moment ago, suddenly turn pale, he became extremely worried.
He carefully helped her to the sofa and then asked, "Where do you feel uncomfortable? I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up."
"No need."
Before Aaron could finish speaking, Renee interrupted him, "I'm fine. Maybe I have low blood sugar because I skipped breakfast. I'll be fine after a while."
After saying this, she didn't forget to ask him to leave, "I have something to do later. You should go, and don't come here again."
Bianca was now unrestricted, and she could appear at Glamour Oasis at any time.
If Bianca found out that she was close to Aaron, it would be a disaster for both of them.
"No way, I can't leave you like this."
Aaron, having been Michael's assistant for many years, could easily tell it was a stomach problem, not low blood sugar.
But he didn't expect that she would make up just to get rid of him.
"Either I take you to the hospital now, or you tell me where the medicine is, and I'll watch you take it before I leave."
Aaron offered two solutions.
Renee, knowing she had to pick up Bianca and take her to the new place, had no choice but to choose the second option.
She pointed to her desk, "There's medicine in the first drawer. Just get it for me."
She had developed this stomach problem while studying abroad, and it had been like this for years due to irregular eating habits. She always kept some medicine with her just in case.
Aaron let go of her, quickly found the medicine, poured a glass of water, and watched her swallow the medicine.
"Is it enough? Now, please leave."
Renee urged him.
Bianca knew her weaknesses and treated her like a servant. She didn't know when Bianca would call again, and it wouldn't be good if she heard Aaron's voice.
"Renee, are we really..."
Aaron, having worked with Michael for several years, was good at reading people.
From the moment Renee answered the phone, she had changed and kept urging him to leave.
It was clear that the call from Bianca had made her cautious.
He couldn't ask about their relationship, but he didn't want his confession to end like this.
"I'll think about it."
Renee sighed helplessly. She knew that if she completely rejected him, Aaron's reaction would be unpredictable.
She had to take it slowly.
But she also knew that their relationship was like a ticking time bomb. She couldn't even guarantee her own safety, and agreeing to be with him would drag him into hell.
She was already in the mire and couldn't drag Aaron down with her.
Satisfied with her response, Aaron finally left.
Renee sighed, sat on the sofa for a while, then picked up her keys and left.
Two days later, at Whispering Pines Estates.
Isabella lay on the bed, quietly looking at the night outside the window, unable to sleep.
Tomorrow was the day Indigo and Harper would be executed.
She had been trying not to think about it, but now that the day had come, she couldn't help but be affected.
She couldn't deny that she hated him.
She hated Indigo for deceiving Grace, who he didn't love, for her family's wealth.
She hated him for cheating on Grace while she was pregnant and for causing her death for a share of the company, leaving her without a warm home overnight.
She hated him even more for bringing Harper and her daughter into the Taylor Family, doting on Bianca while ignoring her.
It made her feel like an unwanted orphan despite having a father.
The pain of childhood would take a lifetime to heal, and Indigo owed her that, but he never felt he was wrong.
Indigo was the kind of person she felt it was a waste of emotion to hate.
As for her mother, Grace, her memory of her was almost a blur, leaving only a thin shadow.
But the Wilson Family had many photos of her when she was young. She was elegant, intelligent, and beautiful, with the grace of a wealthy lady.
Sometimes, she couldn't understand how someone as wonderful as Grace could fall for a jerk like Indigo and have a child with him.
The more Isabella thought about it, the more she felt that Indigo deserved his fate.
When he did those things, he should have known this would be his end.
But what troubled her now was the small kindness Indigo had shown her in the past.
All the memories flashed through her mind. The more she wanted to forget, the more they came back to her at this moment.
