Chapter 307

Such an obvious reaction, Isabella didn't need to guess to know the answer.

Her feelings were complicated.

Was this the Bianca he cherished in his heart, the one he wanted to see even in his last moments?

Isabella shook her head; her last hope for Indigo was shattered.

She just wanted to leave now.

Just as she turned around.

"Isabella, it's my fault, it's all my fault."

Indigo suddenly lowered his stance and began to beg her bitterly.

As Isabella stopped in her tracks, she heard the second half of the sentence that made her sneer.

"If I die, Bianca is your only family in this world. No matter what, Bianca is your sister, you can't just ignore her."

"Bianca is young and naive. Without someone to look after her, how will she live in the future?"

At this point, Indigo's heart ached, and he shed tears.

He even forgot that Isabella and Bianca were only a few months apart in age.

But in his heart, Bianca was always the pampered princess, while Isabella was someone who could survive without anyone's care.

Indigo's words felt like a knife stabbing into Isabella's heart.

But at this moment, Isabella no longer cared.

She had her Grandpa Daniel, she had her uncles, the Taylor Family was no longer her home.

She looked at Indigo and said, "As long as Bianca doesn't cause trouble in the future, I can let her go."

This was their last meeting, and there was no need to argue with him over this request.

But that was the most she could do.

She couldn't guarantee anything more.

Indigo naturally heard Isabella's concession, but he wanted more than just a word; he wanted to arrange everything for Bianca.

"Isabella, you know that Bianca has always liked Michael."

As he spoke, Indigo glanced at Michael, who was standing outside the door, and lowered his voice so only Isabella could hear.

"If you could give him to Bianca, she wouldn't bother you anymore. You're her sister, you've let her have her way for so many years, one more time won't hurt."

Indigo's words were like a bucket of cold water poured over Isabella's head.

What did he mean by "one more time won't hurt"?

Was she that cheap?

If Bianca and Michael liked each other, they could get back together without her interference; she wouldn't oppose it.

But now, Indigo was asking her to give up Michael and push him to Bianca to make her happy.

At this point, there was nothing more to discuss.

Isabella sneered, "Instead of persuading me to give up, why not let Bianca fight for it herself and leave the rest to fate."

Sacrificing herself for Bianca? Was she a fool?

She had thought Indigo was just worried about Bianca before he died, but his words made her realize she had underestimated his greed.

She didn't listen to what Indigo shouted next and walked straight out.

At that moment, the door opened, and Michael appeared in front of her.

Seeing Michael suddenly standing in front of her, Isabella was stunned and blurted out, "What are you doing here?"

Michael spoke calmly, "I've been here for a while. I didn't want to disturb you."

"Let's go, the air here isn't fresh."

Michael reached out his hand to take her away.

He had seen her sadness just now; she shouldn't have come to this place.

"Okay."

Isabella nodded slightly, not placing her hand in his but instead linking her arm with his.

As they were about to leave, Indigo suddenly shouted at Michael.

"Michael, I know you actually like Bianca. I beg you, can you take good care of her after I die? I really can't rest easy."

Isabella showed no expression, but Michael's face changed.

He had only seen Isabella rubbing her eyes from outside the door and hadn't heard what was said inside.

But now he seemed to understand why Isabella was so sad.

Both were his daughters, yet Indigo asked Michael to take care of Bianca in front of Isabella?

No wonder Bianca clung to him so persistently; it was all because of Indigo's manipulative tactics.

Since that was the case, he wouldn't hold back.

"Isabella, wait for me outside. I'll go in and say a few words, it won't take long."

Michael gently patted her hand, sent her to the door, and then returned inside.

But in Isabella's eyes, this scene looked like Michael cared about Bianca and went back to make promises to Indigo.

However, it had nothing to do with her anymore, and she didn't bother to ask.

What Isabella didn't know was that the first thing Michael said to Indigo after going back inside was, "Mr. Taylor, rest assured, I will take good care of Isabella."

"No, no." Indigo shook his head urgently, "I'm asking you to take care of Bianca, not Isabella. As for Isabella, with the Wilson Family, she won't lack anything. I'm not worried about her."

"But Bianca is different. She only had Harper and me to protect her since she was young. After today, we won't be here anymore. How sad and scared she will be. Michael, I know you like our Bianca. Why don't you divorce Isabella and marry Bianca into the Brown Family? Then I can rest easy."

Indigo's earnest plea didn't seem like a joke at all.

Michael found it unbelievable, even absurd!

Was Indigo really Isabella's father?

How could Indigo, as Isabella's father, treat his two daughters so differently?

Did he think that a dying request would be unconditionally agreed to?

Ridiculous.

"Give it up. I will not divorce Isabella!"

Michael said firmly. Isabella was his wife, the woman he loved deeply, and the mother of his child. How could he push her away?

And he certainly wouldn't divorce her for Bianca, whom he didn't love.

Indigo's face stiffened, thinking Michael was joking, and continued to show his pitiful state to gain sympathy.

"Michael, I'm begging you, okay? Bianca only has you in her heart. She has only been with you all these years. If you don't marry her, how will she live the rest of her life? Even if Harper and I die, we won't be at peace."

Such blatant emotional manipulation to force him to act was something Michael had never seen before.

He narrowed his deep eyes and spoke coldly.

"What happens to you has nothing to do with me. The one I love is Isabella, not Bianca. Besides, Isabella is already carrying my child. I'm not like you; I can't abandon my wife and child."

With that, Michael turned and left.

He feared that if he stayed any longer, he wouldn't be able to restrain himself.

If it weren't for Bianca saving his life once, he wouldn't even look at her, let alone marry her out of gratitude.

The one he wanted had always been Isabella.
