Chapter 354
Isabella tried her best to suppress her anger, but she couldn't.
They had hurt her child. The child she had fought so hard to keep.
She could endure anything, but her child was her only weakness. He had already started moving, but he would never have the chance to come into this world.
Michael was stunned when he heard the truth.
"Isabella, you gotta believe me. I would never let anyone hurt our child. Besides, Bianca is missing."
After the kidnapping, Bianca had vanished without a trace.
No matter how many people he sent to search, they couldn't find any clues.
At first, he thought Bianca had been captured by the Wilson Family, but Isabella told him that wasn't the case. That's when he suspected the Adri Family.
But before he could act, Isabella and the child were harmed.
"Sure, you wouldn't hurt your own kid, but Michael, can you really say his death has nothing to do with you?"
Isabella clenched her fists. "If it weren't for your silent approval, would Bianca have gone to such lengths to get close to you? If you didn't still have feelings for her, would she have targeted my child?"
Isabella bit her lip to keep from breaking down.
If she could, she would unleash all the pain and suffering of these years on Michael.
He couldn't even protect his own child.
He didn't deserve to be a father.
"Isabella, don't be impulsive. Maybe things aren't as we think. My people have been looking for Bianca. She couldn't have had the chance to act."
"Maybe someone else did it. We can't be sure until we have evidence."
Michael just wanted to distance himself from Bianca.
He wanted to tell Isabella that there was nothing between him and Bianca.
That it was all a ploy to investigate the people behind Bianca.
Would Isabella hate him a little less if she knew that?
But Michael forgot that everything he did was like stabbing a knife into Isabella's heart.
Especially after losing the child, she was utterly disappointed in him.
Now, he was blatantly helping Bianca clear her name. Was he not even pretending anymore?
Or did Bianca mean more to him than their child?
Isabella felt a sharp pain in her heart. The images of Michael and Bianca embracing and kissing in the warehouse were etched in her mind.
Even though her stomach was empty, she still felt nauseous.
"Isabella, are you okay?"
Michael instinctively stepped forward to support her, but Isabella slapped his hand away.
"Michael, get out!"
Isabella, eyes red with anger, clutched her chest with one hand and pointed to the door with the other.
"Get out! You make me sick. I don't want to see you ever again!"
Isabella couldn't hold back her anger and frustration any longer. She threw everything within reach at him.
The commotion reached outside, just as Renee arrived.
She and Olivia, who had been anxiously waiting outside, pushed open the door without a word.
Isabella had lost control, and the room was in chaos. Michael stood there, letting her vent.
Olivia, seeing Isabella's pain, rushed over to hold her.
Isabella, drained of all strength, closed her eyes and clung to Olivia's clothes, uttering her final words about Michael.
"Olivia, make him leave. I don't want to see him."
"Okay, I'll have the bodyguards throw him out. He won't bother you again."
"Isabella, don't get upset. Your body can't handle this. It's not worth it."
Olivia's voice was choked with tears as she gently patted Isabella's back.
Something Olivia said triggered Isabella's grief, and she finally broke down.
"Olivia, I didn't want this."
"But my child is gone. He doesn't want me as his mother."
"It hurts so much. I wanted this child."
Isabella buried her face in Olivia's clothes and cried loudly.
It was the child she had hoped for over three years, her grandfather's last wish. Losing him was more painful than death.
"Isabella, don't be sad. There will be other children. Besides, this child was Michael's. It's better this way."
Olivia said this deliberately for Michael to hear.
Isabella had loved him for so many years, giving him countless chances even after filing for divorce. But he kept hurting her.
He chose to stay with that bitch Bianca instead of returning to his family. Why keep such a jerk?
Michael's face paled at Olivia's words.
Her words trampled on his pride as a man.
But he had no retort.
Because it was all his fault.
Isabella had every right to hate him.
The bodyguards, hearing the commotion, entered the room. Seeing Michael standing still, they hesitated to act.
After all, Michael was the CEO of the Brown Group. Not just anyone dared to touch him.
And since he and Isabella weren't officially divorced, if they reconciled, the bodyguards would be in trouble.
Olivia, seeing their hesitation, frowned and snapped.
"What are you waiting for? Didn't you hear Isabella? Get him out!"
The bodyguards had no choice but to awkwardly approach Michael and gesture for him to leave.
"Mr. Michael Brown, you should go."
They were the Wilson Family's bodyguards. If Michael upset Isabella, the Wilson Family wouldn't let it slide.
"Your presence only makes Ms. Taylor more upset."
Michael took a deep look at Isabella, clenched his fists, and was about to leave.
Suddenly, Renee, sitting in her wheelchair, exclaimed, "What's this?"
She had been picking up the scattered items and was stunned when she saw the test results.
Renee's exclamation made Michael stop and drew Olivia and Isabella's attention.
Renee picked up the papers, examining the data until she reached the last page.
Her hands trembled, and her face turned pale.
How could this be?
