Chapter 366
The waiter led Bianca into a cozy private room, handed her the menu, and left.
Bianca casually flipped through the menu, spotting dishes she had never seen before.
Just by glancing at the prices, she could tell how upscale this place was.
At that moment, the waiter returned with a pot of coffee, poured a cup, and placed it in front of her. The rich aroma filled the room instantly.
Bianca didn't know much about coffee, but the smell alone told her it was something special.
"Ma'am, would you like to order now?"
Bianca wasn't sure when he would arrive, so she waved her hand and set her bag aside. "No rush, I'll wait for him. You can go now."
The waiter nodded and left.
Bianca didn't want to call and rush him, so she idly flipped through the menu to pass the time.
The more she looked, the more shocked she became.
No wonder this place was a playground for the wealthy; it was indeed luxury.
Not to mention the luxurious decor, a simple meal here started at six figures, and the coffee and fine wines were priced in the millions.
Bianca couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
Although she had seen many good things while being with Michael, she had to maintain her innocent persona in front of him and never dared to show her materialistic side.
Michael had never brought her to a place like this.
But now, with that man by her side, she could go to any luxurious place she wanted just by asking.
After all, the man she was with controlled the economic lifeline of Auroria.
About ten minutes later, the door to the private room opened, and a tall man dressed in a black trench coat and sunglasses, looking like a celebrity, walked in.
Seeing his outfit, Bianca couldn't help but laugh sarcastically. "Are you afraid people won't notice you dressed like that?"
"What do you know?"
The man didn't care about Bianca's mockery. He walked straight to the main seat, pulled out a chair, and sat down, removing his sunglasses to reveal a perfect face.
Even though Bianca had seen it countless times, she couldn't help but linger her gaze on that face.
After all, it bore a seven or eight-point resemblance to Michael.
Seeing him was like seeing Michael.
Facing a face so similar to the man she loved, who wouldn't be moved?
But Bianca knew their differences better than anyone and quickly shifted her attention.
"Is this really necessary? Your identity isn't something to hide."
She said this, but Bianca knew better than anyone what would happen if Nolan's identity as the second son of the Brown Family were exposed.
Just the fact that he wasn't in a wheelchair would be enough for the media to go wild.
Not to mention the agreements he had with the Adri Family.
No matter how much she suffered, she always had a way out, even if it meant being the woman behind that man.
But Nolan was different.
He only had this one path. Success meant he would have the power and the woman he dreamed of; failure meant death.
Even if he could escape the Brown Family's revenge, he couldn't escape the Adri Family's pursuit.
That was the fate of being a pawn.
They both understood this but were deeply entangled nonetheless.
Nolan didn't bother explaining. He glanced at the menu in front of Bianca. "Why haven't you ordered yet?"
Without the low, husky voice from the voice changer on the phone, Nolan's real voice was gentle and pleasant, paired with his gentle demeanor, making him incredibly attractive.
He had no idea how many female students he attracted at Evergreen City University.
No wonder he dressed like that when he went out.
Bianca squinted and casually spun the menu towards Nolan. "You do it. It's too expensive; I don't dare to order."
All her money from the beauty salon had gone to the big boss, and her mother had spent quite a bit during that time, leaving her with little money.
She didn't dare bring up money with the big boss, fearing he would investigate her and Michael's affairs.
Nolan took the menu without saying anything, called the waiter, and ordered a few dishes before sending him out.
Once the food arrived, Nolan finally spoke slowly.
"Bianca, do you know why I asked you here?"
She deliberately looked up and laughed. "It can't be that you know I'm leaving and wanted to give me a farewell, right?"
Bianca wasn't stupid; she knew what Nolan cared about most. But the deed was done, so what could he do?
She had the big boss behind her, and she bet he wouldn't dare do anything to her.
Nolan didn't beat around the bush and asked directly, "I need to confirm something with you face-to-face. Did you arrange for Isabella to lose her baby?"
Nolan's eyes were sharp.
He had planted someone in the Brown Villa, and an accidental phone call from Aiden had exposed the matter.
As soon as he got the news, he guessed who was behind it.
He had been busy planning a big move, which had diverted his attention from Isabella.
He didn't expect Bianca to take advantage of that.
That was the child Isabella had longed for, and now it was gone. She must be devastated.
"Didn't I tell you not to touch her?"
"You can target anyone in Evergreen City, but not Isabella."
He wouldn't allow anything to happen to Isabella under his watch, not even a little.
In Nolan's heart, no one was more important than Isabella. Not even himself.
"Nolan, are you feeling sorry for her?"
Bianca sneered, looking at Nolan with a completely uncomprehending expression.
"What do you think?"
Nolan had always thought Bianca was a bit unhinged, and now it seemed she was a lunatic to the core.
"I told you before, Isabella will choose me in the future. The person she loves has always been me, not Michael. Why can't you let her go?"
Nolan had already confirmed with Michael that Isabella's marriage to him was a mistake.
She had always loved Nolan.
Nolan and Isabella were the perfect match. Now that he was back, Isabella should be his, and no one could take her away.
Why did Bianca have to target Isabella so relentlessly?
So when he heard Bianca was leaving the country, he was more relieved than anyone.
"Let her go?"
Bianca sneered. "Nolan, do you hear yourself? Isabella killed my parents. Do you think I can let her go?"
"Besides, I only made her lose her baby, not killed her. Do you have to question me like this? Isn't it better for you if she loses the baby? If you want to be with her, do you really want to raise a child that's not your own?"
