Chapter 374
"What's the deal with Michael now?"
Bianca was getting antsy, waiting for Nolan to step up and help her out.
"The Brown Family doubled down last night, offering a huge bounty to find you. The boss wants you back ASAP to avoid any trouble."
These guys all took orders from the boss, and their main job was keeping Bianca safe. In any crisis, the boss was always the first to know.
"Double the manpower, huh?"
Bianca grinned. Last night's events must've really shaken Michael, making him desperate to track her down.
Perfect, she wanted to see him too.
Since they both wanted to meet, there was no point in hiding anymore.
She was leaving Evergreen City in a few days anyway.
If she didn't get Michael before she left, she'd regret it forever.
"Send Michael an invite. Tell him I'll be at the Starlit Tavern at 8 PM. He better show up."
The Starlit Tavern was Michael's favorite hangout spot.
In a familiar setting, her plan would likely go off without a hitch.
Her subordinate hesitated, "Ms. Bianca Taylor, the bar's always packed, and the Brown Family has more people than us. If something goes down, we might not be able to get out in time."
"Get out?"
Bianca sneered, "I want to face him head-on. I don't care what he does to me. I want him!"
She was dead set on meeting Michael.
As long as Michael showed up, she had plenty of ways to get him.
He might have sworn he'd rather die than sleep with her, but she was going to make him beg for it.
The subordinate got the message and wanted to warn Bianca, but seeing the determination in her eyes, he just nodded.
"I'll take care of it."
He turned to leave.
"Hold up!"
Before meeting Michael, she needed to invite someone else.
Only with her presence would the show really start.
"Make two invites. Send the other to the Wilson Family."
The subordinate asked respectfully, "Whose name should I put on it?"
Bianca's eyes narrowed, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Write Michael's name. Copy the content exactly and send it to the Wilson Family."
"And add that I will only see Michael alone. If he brings anyone, he'll never see me again."
She wanted to have Michael.
One witness was enough.
Too many people would just get in the way.
"Oh, and keep this under wraps. If the boss hears anything, I'll hold a grudge!"
The subordinate quickly promised they wouldn't say a word.
Bianca snorted and waved him off. "Go on, get it done."
"Yes, ma'am!"
At the Brown Group headquarters, in the CEO's office, Michael felt a sudden chill run down his spine, shivering unexpectedly.
He touched his forehead, thinking he might've caught a cold from a restless night.
He glanced outside, watching snowflakes silently fall.
In this cold weather, Michael wondered how Isabella was doing.
He had received the divorce papers. Isabella's demands were straightforward; she only wanted what was rightfully hers and nothing more.
If he signed, they could finalize the divorce quickly.
But he couldn't bring himself to sign his name.
He knew that if he gave up now, there would be no chance of reconciliation with Isabella.
So, he deliberately pointed out non-existent issues in the terms, insisting on discussing them with Isabella in person.
Otherwise, he wouldn't agree to sign.
Just then, there was a knock on his office door.
A secretary entered with an invitation.
"Mr. Brown, someone personally delivered this downstairs and insisted you open it yourself."
"Alright, leave it here."
Michael didn't think much of it; he received such things daily.
But when he noticed a small white flower printed on it, his eyes sharpened.
He quickly opened it, and upon reading the contents, he stood up and called the secretary back. "Where's the person who delivered this?"
The secretary, startled, replied, "They've already left. Mr. Brown, should I send someone to find them?"
"No need, you can go."
As the door closed, Michael's hands crumpled the invitation.
If she dared to send him this, she must have prepared thoroughly.
Chasing after her now would be futile.
But if she was bold enough to invite him out in Evergreen City, she must have a new trick up her sleeve.
Whatever she planned, he had to go.
Whether it was avenging the child or finding the little girl who saved him back then, he must verify it himself.
For some reason, ever since he picked up the little bear pendant from Moon Bay, he had felt that person was actually close to him.
He could sense it, but the other party showed no intention of responding to him.
But the more it was like this, the more he wanted to know the truth.
As long as he saw Bianca, these mysteries would naturally be solved.
Meanwhile, at the Wilson Family, Isabella received a unique invitation from a servant.
It wasn't the usual red or gold, but a black card with a small white flower.
The flower resembled the lilies Bianca loved.
Isabella opened it casually, unsurprised by the contents.
Of course, it was from her.
But what puzzled Isabella was that the invitation was in Michael's name.
So, this was meant for Michael but had "accidentally" ended up with her.
Such a coincidence was transparent.
Isabella smirked coldly. Only Bianca would bother with such petty tricks.
Bianca thought she still cared, still felt jealous.
How laughable.
The invitation detailed their meeting place and time, even specifying Michael's room number. It almost explicitly stated that Bianca and Michael would sleep together.
Was Bianca inviting Isabella to watch them have sex?
Indeed, a bad man and a madwoman were a perfect match.
Renee approached with a cup of hot milk.
After some time recovering, she could walk slowly without a wheelchair.
As she neared, she saw Isabella toss the invitation onto the table with a cold snort.
She glanced at it and asked, "Ms. Isabella Taylor, this invitation is quite unique. Is someone asking you out?"
