Chapter 383
After he finished talking, Michael grabbed Bianca's phone and called his crew, telling them to get there fast.
Then, he tied Bianca up with a rope and taped her mouth shut.
He didn't give her a chance to say a word.
Michael's guys showed up quickly and took her away.
With Bianca captured, Michael looked at the marks all over his body, feeling both disgusted and uncomfortable. He wanted to take a shower to wash away all traces of Bianca from his skin.
Only then could he leave this place.
But Bianca had just used the bathroom here, and he didn't want to touch anything related to her.
Yet, he couldn't wait until he got back home.
Suddenly, Michael remembered Isabella, who lived right across the hall.
He could go to her.
He hadn't noticed before that she had property here, but this neighborhood seemed a bit old. Who knew when she had bought it?
Now, he wanted to go over and explain everything to Isabella, including the misunderstanding with Bianca.
The bodyguards took Bianca away, and Michael walked straight to Isabella's door, gently knocking. "Isabella, it's me. I need to talk to you."
"Isabella, are you in there?"
Michael knocked a few more times, but there was no response from inside.
Just as he was about to call out again, a returning bodyguard hurried over to report, "Mr. Brown, please stop knocking. Mrs. Brown has already left; she's not here."
"Left?"
Michael frowned. "How could she have left? She was just here."
He had heard her voice just moments ago.
"It's true, Mr. Brown. Mrs. Brown has left. The security office saw her leave around the time you called us."
Michael felt like all his strength had drained away, and the light in his eyes dimmed.
Isabella was gone.
This time, she must have lost all trust in him and wouldn't come back.
So, were they destined to have no future together?
The bodyguard, seeing this, didn't dare make a sound and stood quietly by his side, motionless.
Michael took one last deep look at the door.
Then he said in a low voice, "Let's go."
A row of black luxury cars was parked downstairs. Michael got into the one in the middle.
The bodyguard cautiously asked, "Mr. Brown, where to now?"
Normally, the bodyguard would take him to the hotel he usually stayed at, but now, with Bianca captured, who knew if Michael would want to interrogate her right away.
"To Willow Creek Estates!"
That place was a temporary residence he had once lent to the Taylor Family. After they left, no one had moved in.
He felt disgusted and never went back.
Now, he needed to interrogate Bianca, and this was the best place to do it.
He didn't want Bianca to set foot in any of his properties again.
The car sped to the destination. As soon as Michael got out, he heard a loud noise overhead, like something was looking for a landing spot.
It could only be a private jet.
Coincidentally, there was a private helipad right across from Willow Creek Estates.
This apartment complex was in a wealthy area, so such things weren't unusual.
Michael didn't give it much thought and had Bianca taken upstairs.
As soon as he ripped the tape off her mouth, Bianca started screaming and shouting like a madwoman.
"Michael, what the hell are you doing? Let me go!"
"I'm warning you, I'm not alone. If you dare to kidnap or hurt me, the people backing me won't let you get away with it!"
A bodyguard stepped forward to tape Bianca's mouth again, but Michael stopped him.
He slowly sat down on the opposite sofa, took out a silver bear pendant from his pocket, and held it up for Bianca to see.
"Bianca, I don't have time for your crap. Do you recognize this?"
Bianca, terrified from being tied up and thinking about what Michael might do to her, didn't even think before responding.
"It's just a piece of junk. Why would I remember it?"
But Michael was persistent and asked again, "Are you sure you don't recognize it, not even a little?"
Seeing the disdain and contempt in Bianca's eyes, Michael felt he didn't need to hear more to know the answer.
All his suspicions were confirmed.
He felt an overwhelming pain.
He had asked Bianca about the bear pendant before, and she had casually said she threw it. He hadn't doubted her at all.
How foolish he had been to mistake Bianca for his savior.
Bianca found Michael's behavior strange. "If you have something to say, just say it. Why beat around the bush with a trinket? Is this fun for you?"
"You're right, it's not fun at all."
Michael let out a cold laugh, his eyes now filled with a deadly chill as he looked at Bianca.
Bianca shivered.
The last time she saw Michael with this look was when he tied her up and sent her to Auroria. Was he going to do that again?
Before Bianca could react, Michael's voice rang out.
"Bianca, you don't even recognize the token from back then. How dare you claim to be my savior?"
His voice was low and sharp, like a gleaming knife, cutting through the secret Bianca had hidden for years.
Facing Michael, who looked like a demon from hell, Bianca swallowed hard, unable to say a word.
But admitting the truth now was out of the question.
Her relationship with Michael was the only thing keeping her safe. If he found out she was an imposter, how could she escape from him alive?
"Michael, you misunderstood. I was just too scared and nervous to recognize it."
Bianca quickly thought back to when she found Michael by the sea. "But now that I look at it, it does seem familiar. It must be the bear I took from you when I saved you."
But her words held no credibility with Michael anymore.
He was already certain of Bianca's lies.
He narrowed his eyes, pointing to the bear pendant. "So you're saying you took this from me back then?"
"That's right. Don't you remember what happened at Moon Bay?"
Bianca desperately tried to convince Michael that she was his savior.
But Michael only felt like laughing. "Alright, if you say you took it, then why is it in my hand now?"
"When was the last time you saw it?"
"If you can answer even one of these questions, I'll believe you!"
