Chapter 384

The more intense Michael's stare got, the guiltier Bianca felt.

She hadn't even touched the item in question, so how was she supposed to know where it was last seen?

Caught off guard by Michael's sudden questioning, Bianca's mind went blank with nerves. She had no choice but to come up with a hasty excuse.

"Michael, why are you being so harsh? This happened so long ago, how could I remember it clearly?"

"Besides, I almost lost my life saving you from the ocean. It's normal for things to get lost in the chaos. What are you trying to imply by asking me now?"

Bianca tried to argue back, but the guilt on her face betrayed her.

Her mind drifted back to those past events.

After Isabella was taken away by her grandfather, Bianca became the only young lady of the Taylor Family.

She got everything she wanted, including all of Isabella's belongings.

One day, she was invited to a high-society party for young elites. She had the family bodyguard drive her there.

On the way, near Moon Bay, she spotted a familiar figure.

Isabella was walking alone on the beach with a backpack.

The backpack was a limited edition that Bianca had begged her parents for but never got. Only a few dozen were sold worldwide, and each one cost over $500,000.

Yet here was Isabella, an orphan with no one, casually carrying it like it was nothing. Bianca couldn't believe her eyes.

How could Isabella, an unwanted orphan, have something she couldn't get?

Determined to prove it was a fake, Bianca had the bodyguard stop the car. She followed Isabella, planning to humiliate her in public.

But before she could reach her, Isabella suddenly jumped into the ocean.

Isabella swam out and rescued a drowning boy.

Later, Bianca learned that boy was Michael.

When Isabella and Michael were washed ashore, they were both unconscious. Bianca was terrified, thinking they were dead.

As she moved closer to check, the bodyguard stopped her.

A group of men in black suits rushed past her to Isabella and Michael.

"Ms. Taylor, don't go over there. Didn't you see those men? They all have the Wilson Family's emblem. No one in Evergreen City, or even the entire South, dares to mess with them. We should leave."

Before Bianca could respond, the men had already carried Isabella and Michael to safety.

They were both unconscious when pulled from the water.

After emergency measures confirmed they were okay, the Wilson Family's bodyguards took Isabella away.

Michael was left lying there.

Bianca was too young to connect Isabella with the Wilson Family.

She first noticed Michael's incredibly handsome face, recognizing him as the boy she had seen a few times at her new elite school.

She had noticed him many times.

But he had never really looked at her.

Back then, she thought about how wonderful it would be to marry him when they grew up.

That day was her chance.

So, she stayed by Michael's side until the Brown Family arrived.

They assumed she had saved Michael and thanked her profusely. Bianca didn't correct them and accepted the role of Michael's savior.

In the following years, Michael treated her exceptionally well.

He catered to her every whim and invited her to his family's events.

She felt like a princess, the center of everyone's attention.

Even Michael's gaze was only for her.

His eyes were so gentle and doting.

She believed they would fall in love, get married, and she would live a happy life in a top-tier family.

Then Isabella reappeared.

Even though Michael still had feelings for her and didn't want to marry Isabella, he couldn't resist Aiden's strong stance.

With just a marriage contract, Isabella became his wife.

The position Bianca had dreamed of was taken by Isabella.

If Isabella hadn't shown up and forced Michael to marry her, that position would have been Bianca's!

Back in the present, Bianca felt a deep sense of injustice and bitterness. Michael was supposed to be hers.

Isabella had stolen everything from her. Why should she suffer this fate?

Seeing Bianca's unrepentant attitude, Michael knew she wouldn't tell the truth.

But he wouldn't act against her just yet.

He needed to find out who really saved him.

For years, he had trusted the wrong person and hurt Isabella because of it.

He truly regretted it.

"Bianca, I can overlook the past, but I have one question I need you to answer honestly."

Michael only wanted to know who saved him.

As for Bianca's fate, he would hand her over to the police. Her life or death would be her own doing.

"What is it?"

Bianca couldn't meet Michael's cold gaze. She felt he had seen through her lies and knew her secret.

Sure enough, Michael's next words pierced her facade.

"You described the rescue so vividly. You must have seen someone save me, right?"

"Tell me, who was it?"

Michael's voice was firm, his eyes filled with desperate hope.

He needed to know the truth.

Bianca laughed.

"Yes, I was a bit late and saw someone save you. But I stayed by your side until the Brown Family arrived. Doesn't that make me your savior?"

Since he had guessed, there was no point in hiding it.

But she wouldn't say it was Isabella.

She had pretended to be Michael's savior for years, benefiting greatly.

If she told him it was Isabella, Michael would fall even more in love with her.

She wasn't stupid enough to help Michael's love life, especially not with Isabella.

Michael's anger flared, and he grabbed Bianca by the throat.

"Bianca, stop playing dumb. Who was it? Do you know them? I want the truth!"
