Chapter 47

Harper, who had just left the house, was still cursing loudly. Bianca, sitting nearby, couldn't hold back any longer. "Shut up! Do you think I haven't been embarrassed enough today?"

Harper's face stiffened, but she eventually closed her mouth.

She felt both proud and fearful of her daughter, Bianca.

After all, she was counting on Bianca for her future wealth and status.

Bianca's eyes were filled with disdain and irritation.

She couldn't understand what Indigo saw in Harper; even she couldn't stand Harper's shrewish behavior.

There were quite a few reporters and media present today.

The image she had been maintaining online these past few days was probably ruined.

Among the three of them, Indigo was the calmest. "Bianca, why don't you call Michael's assistant, Aaron, and ask what's going on? Just because Michael isn't answering doesn't mean Aaron won't."

"That's right, Michael has always cared about you the most. He wouldn't just ignore you. Hurry up and call him," Harper urged, finally catching on.

Bianca collected herself and called Aaron, who connected her to Michael.

Before Michael could even speak, Bianca started crying, causing Michael to frown deeply on the other end.

Bianca's tendency to cry at the drop of a hat was really annoying.

"Michael, Isabella kicked me and my parents out of the house today and called us homewreckers in front of everyone. We have nowhere to go now," Bianca sobbed as she spoke. "Isabella is trying to push us to the brink. Can you help me?"

"I'm not in the country. Let Aaron handle this for you. That's it, I'm hanging up," Michael said before ending the call.

He didn't even offer a word of comfort, leaving Bianca feeling disappointed.

But she believed Michael still cared about her; otherwise, he wouldn't have let her and her family stay in his house.

Soon, Bianca received a location message from Aaron.

It was one of Michael's vacant apartments.

She gripped her phone tightly, silently vowing.

Once she became the mistress of the Brown Family, the first person she would seek revenge on would be Isabella.

She would make Isabella pay back today's humiliation a hundredfold.

Abroad, Michael sat in a chair, pressing his stomach with a pained expression.

He had been busy handling company affairs and traveling long distances, which had triggered his gastritis.

There were also endless troubles back home.

He had watched all the videos Aaron had brought him. Isabella's boldness had taken him by surprise.

Not only had she made their divorce public, but she had also kicked Indigo's family out.

Despite knowing Michael didn't like her being with Thomas, she had stood by his side, affectionately holding his arm outside the courthouse.

She had even called out to the media with Thomas, announcing their intention to divorce Michael.

Thinking of her bright and flamboyant face on camera, Michael couldn't help but let out a bitter smile.

When Isabella decided to be ruthless, she really didn't leave him any dignity.

"Mr. Brown, there's a group of reporters outside wanting to interview you about the divorce," Aaron said, entering with a panicked expression.

Michael sat up straight, his face displeased. "Tell them I'm not accepting any interviews. Have security kick them out. If they don't listen, call the police!"

As Aaron left, a call from Aiden back home came in.

"What did I tell you? Didn't I ask you to speak nicely to Isabella? How did it end up in court?" Aiden's voice was full of vigor, and he could have scolded Michael for half an hour without getting tired.

On the other hand, Michael was already breaking out in a cold sweat.

"Grandpa, I've done everything I could," Michael said, his voice much lower.

"I think you just don't want to be with Isabella. You're still thinking about Bianca. Let me tell you, the Brown Family will never accept a woman like Bianca. You better give up on her."

"Grandpa, I didn't..."

Before Michael could finish, Aiden had already hung up in anger.

When Aaron came back in, he saw Michael pale and slumped in his chair, clutching his stomach, looking terrified. "Mr. Brown, are you okay? I'll call an ambulance right now!"

Michael's condition was so alarming that Aaron, holding his phone, was about to make the call when Michael stopped him. "I'm not going to the hospital. Things here are almost settled. Book a flight back home for tomorrow morning."

Perhaps it was because he had spent so much time with Isabella recently.

He started to recall the times he had been cold to her.

He finally know how it felt like to want to hold onto someone but was repeatedly rejected.

That night, Isabella slept in Grace's house.

The place no longer had any traces of Indigo's family, only the original look of the house remained.

Over the years, Grace's memories had gradually faded from her mind. She had to look at photos of her younger self often to remember her clearly.

She was afraid of forgetting Grace.

Sleeping in the familiar bedroom, surrounded by familiar surroundings, distant memories seemed to become clearer.

It made her feel closer to Grace.

Early the next morning, her subordinate Jesse arrived at Isabella's new residence.

He had prepared the documents and clothes she needed for work.

Walking into the house, Jesse looked around curiously at the decor, quite surprised.

Isabella had restored it to how it looked like when she was little, with no extra decorations or luxurious style, just a simple set of wooden furniture, reflecting the house's original design concept.

It was warm and unique.

"What are you looking at?" Isabella asked as she came down the stairs, dressed in a white business suit.

Jesse looked up and smiled. "It seems like there are traces of Ms. Wilson's childhood here. It gives a warm and comfortable feeling. Such a nice house, it's a shame it was wasted on the Taylor Family."

"Don't worry, their punishment is far from over," Isabella said, her eyes narrowing. Indigo's family owed her and Grace, and she would make sure to collect it all.

The education and medical base project proposed by the Wilson Family last time had been progressing smoothly.

Not only did they have the $950 million Michael had invested at the banquet, but they also had the strong support of two major companies.

The Wilson Group had made a spectacular comeback in front of everyone.

After this, the shareholders of the Wilson Group no longer dared to oppose Isabella.

After all, Isabella truly had the capability.

Moreover, Isabella didn't spare any face for these old shareholders.

If they had valid points, it was fine. But if they tried to cause trouble based on their status, they would only embarrass themselves.

In the large conference room.

"Ms. Taylor, the developer of the Crystal Cove water resort is unable to repay their debts and is now offering to sell the entire resort at a low price. Should we take this opportunity to acquire it?"

Today's meeting was specifically called to discuss this matter.

The person in charge of Crystal Cove had already fled overseas, leaving behind a mess.
