Chapter 495

Aaron's face went white as a sheet at those words.

When Renee got physical, she held nothing back. She'd even take on the Adri Family without a second thought.

Given his small frame, he probably wouldn't even survive a flick from her finger.

He swallowed hard and nodded obediently.

Only then did Renee leave, looking satisfied.

As the door closed again, Aaron instinctively wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. It took him a moment to realize why he was so scared.

Michael and Isabella had feelings for each other.

And Michael genuinely liked Isabella. There was no way he would ever think of hurting her.

Renee just had too many misunderstandings about Michael because of past events.

Thinking this, Aaron relaxed. Once Michael and Isabella reconciled, he believed Renee's attitude towards Michael would gradually change.

"Mr. Brown, you insisted on staying today. Is there something you want to discuss with me?"

Aaron cautiously probed.

With Renee gone, Michael didn't need to keep up the act. He got up, sat by the hospital bed, cleared his throat, and asked directly.

"Aaron, we've known each other for years. Let's not beat around the bush. I want to hear about your story with Renee."

"Huh? My story with Renee?"

Aaron was momentarily stunned.

He didn't understand why Michael would stay just to hear about his love life.

"It's not what you think!"

Michael realized his words might have been misunderstood and explained, "I want to know how you managed to win Renee back. How did you make her care so much about you?"

From the moment Aaron got injured, Renee had been by his side, even staying overnight to take care of him. Michael couldn't help but feel envious of such devotion.

If Isabella showed him even a fraction of that care, he'd do anything in return.

Hearing this, Aaron instantly understood Michael's intention.

Michael was here seeking advice from someone he viewed as "successful with women."

As men who had both experienced heartbreak, Aaron could relate to Michael's situation.

But he didn't know where to start.

"Mr. Brown, what specifically are you asking about? My situation with Renee is different from yours with Isabella. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to relationships."

Michael considered this for a moment. "How did you get Renee to give your relationship another chance? And why is she so devoted to you now?"

He recalled how Renee had been dead set on leaving Aaron, and they'd gone through a period where they barely spoke.

But in just a few months, Aaron had won her back?

It completely mystified him.

Aaron thought for a moment, then asked with a smile, "Mr. Brown, are you asking how I and Renee came to understand each other's feelings?"

Michael fell silent.

He was indeed curious about that.

"It's simple! Mr. Brown, since you and Isabella have feelings for each other, just be straightforward and confess your feelings. That's all you need to do!"

"That won't work!"

Michael frowned. He had thought of that, but Isabella had still rejected him.

And she had rejected him thoroughly.

Isabella hadn't even given him a chance to explain.

"How could it not work?" Aaron was puzzled. "That doesn't make sense. Isabella has always had feelings for you. If you confess, she should feel something."

Michael also felt something was off but couldn't pinpoint it.

"I thought I made myself clear, but Isabella doesn't believe me. She thinks my feelings are just a way to use her. No matter how I explain, she won't listen."

Aaron was even more puzzled. "Mr. Brown, can you tell me how you confessed to her?"

He wasn't trying to be nosy, but without understanding what had happened, he couldn't help Michael.

Seeing Aaron's sincere expression, Michael put aside his embarrassment and roughly recounted what had happened next door.

After hearing what Michael had said, Aaron thought for a moment and came to a conclusion.

"Mr. Brown, I think your confession was too sudden and scared Isabella. That's why she doesn't believe your sincerity."

"Sudden?" Michael didn't understand. They had been married for three years and were now on the brink of divorce. How could his confession be sudden?

"Yes, think about how you've treated her over the years. It's understandable that Isabella doesn't believe you."

Aaron analyzed seriously, "Moreover, Mr. Brown, you've just been ousted from the company, lost your position as heir and CEO, and you two have only been divorced for a few days. Yet, you suddenly confess and want to reconcile. Anyone would think you have ulterior motives."

Hearing Aaron's analysis, Michael realized he had been impulsive.

No wonder the more serious he was, the worse Isabella's expression became. She really thought he was using her.

He should have realized this earlier.

Seeing Michael deep in thought, Aaron continued.

"Mr. Brown, a confession isn't just about words. You didn't give her the romance and sense of ceremony before. If you still don't now, it's no wonder she thinks you haven't changed."

Having been by Michael's side for years, Aaron knew what kind of life Isabella had endured.

Forget small gifts; Michael had barely spared her a kind glance.

If he didn't seize this opportunity, Isabella might actually be swept away by someone else.

Change.

Michael muttered the word to himself, then looked up with determination. "What do I need to do to prove to her I've changed?"

Aaron's eyes lit up as he eagerly offered his advice.

"Look, before you tell her how you feel, you need to show Isabella you're serious. Make up for your past mistakes. Every woman appreciates thoughtful gestures-whether it's flowers, a meaningful gift, or even just something that shows you've been paying attention. You say you care about her, but words alone won't cut it. She needs to see it through your actions."

"The timing was all wrong, Mr. Brown. The company was in crisis mode, your grandfather just landed in the hospital, and you rushed straight to Isabella hoping to patch things up. No wonder she misunderstood your intentions!"
