Chapter 501

Hearing Isabella's words, Nolan felt his heart break into pieces.

Was he really going to lose her?

"Isabella, I know you hate me right now, so I'm not here to win you over. Can you still see me as your brother? Can't we go back to how things were?"

No matter how gentle Nolan's voice was, it couldn't bring back Isabella's past feelings.

She knew very well that Nolan was no longer the brother he once was.

They couldn't go back to the way things were.

The phone fell silent again, and Nolan sighed as if he had made a decision.

"Isabella, what if I told you this is the last time I'll see you?"

"Nolan, what do you mean by that?"

Isabella frowned, sensing something off in his tone.

What did he mean by the last time? What was he planning to do?

From the moment Isabella had clearly rejected him, Nolan had anticipated the end of their relationship.

But he couldn't just let go.

If Isabella truly couldn't accept his love, then he wanted to see her one last time, even if it was just a glance.

"After tonight, I'll leave and never come back. Isabella, can we meet one last time to say goodbye?"

He had originally planned to take Isabella with him, but her rejection made it impossible to force her.

So now, he was just begging to see her one last time.

Leave?

Isabella was shocked, but then she thought it was impossible.

Nolan had just wrested control of the Brown Group from Michael, and with Aiden in the hospital, Nolan was the sole decision-maker for the company.

Why would he choose to leave at such a crucial moment?

Isabella thought he was just making an excuse to get her to come out and didn't believe him at all.

"Nolan, if you keep lying, eventually no one will believe you. Even if you really were leaving today, I still wouldn't meet up with you."

She had nothing to do with the Brown Family anymore and didn't want any ties with Nolan either.

So whether he left Evergreen City or the Brown Group had nothing to do with her.

"Isabella, you really bear to..."

Nolan was about to say more when Olivia's voice interrupted from the phone.

"Isabella, where are you? Emilio is here to see you."

Emilio was here?

Before Isabella could hang up, Nolan's long-suppressed anger erupted from the other end of the line.

"Emilio? Isabella, is he the reason you won't come out to see me? How can a stranger compare to our years of relationship? Isabella, you can't be with him!"

Isabella didn't understand why Nolan was suddenly acting crazy. A guest had arrived, and as the host, she naturally had to go out and greet them.

To make Nolan give up, Isabella decided to be blunt.

"Who I choose to be with is my own business. Emilio is my friend, and I won't let you talk about him like that."

Her short statement completely ignited the anger in Nolan's heart.

"So you admit it? You like him? You won't even see me because of some outsider? Isabella, you've really disappointed me. We've known each other for so many years. Even if you don't have romantic feelings for me, I thought you at least cared about me. But now, I'm not even worth as much as a stranger to you? What does all our time together mean? Just because you don't accept my love, you want to torture me like this?"

Every word Nolan said accused Isabella of being heartless and cold.

He sounded like someone who had been abandoned after years of love.

Isabella felt like she was going crazy.

She couldn't understand why Nolan suddenly had such a deep possessiveness over her. He had always treated her as a friend before.

But now, he was trying to control her?

She was divorced from Michael and free to be with whoever she wanted. How could anyone try to control that?

Before she could hang up, Nolan issued a threat.

"Isabella, I regret it! I've been too gentle with you, so you think I'm easy to bully, right?"

"Nolan, what nonsense are you talking about?" Isabella was truly angry. "You know why I hate you. I don't want to hear you anymore. That's it."

Thinking about how Nolan had changed so much made Isabella feel suffocated.

The best way to deal with him was to never see him again.

Otherwise, she would erase even the memory of the old Nolan.

But what Isabella didn't expect was that her moment of softness would lead to his endless demands and threats.

"Isabella, come out and see me, or I can't guarantee I won't do something to Michael. You know he's no longer the president of the Brown Group. It's easy for me to get to him."

Nolan's voice was cold and violent, no longer the gentle, caring brother he once was.

Isabella realized what Nolan intended to do and broke out in a cold sweat.

She hadn't forgotten that Nolan had the Adri Family behind him.

Especially since that family had a mysterious assassin organization.

Renee and Aaron had almost died at their hands.

If Nolan wanted to harm Michael, he wouldn't even need to do it himself to push Michael to the brink.

The old Nolan was truly gone.

The current Nolan was a madman.

Just to get her to come out, he dared to threaten his brother's life?

At that moment, she saw his true colors.

"Nolan, Michael is your brother. You would harm your own brother?"

"Isabella, I thought you understood me. I hate everyone in the Brown Family, including Michael. You know that better than anyone, don't you?"

So Nolan was really willing to act.

Isabella took a deep breath, not daring to hesitate any longer. "Fine, I'll meet you. Is that enough?"

She could be sure Nolan wouldn't harm her for now, but if she didn't go, she couldn't guarantee Michael's safety.

After all, Nolan's hatred for the Brown Family had never disappeared.

Finally hearing the answer he wanted, Nolan's tone softened a bit.

"Of course. As long as you come, I won't do anything, including to Michael. Isabella, I'll show you how much I love you."

Isabella didn't want to hear any more of his disgusting confessions and asked directly.

"Send me the location and address. I'll be there on time tonight."

With that, she hung up the phone.

She didn't want to hear Nolan's voice any longer.
