Chapter 509
Felix let out a cold snort from the side.
'Don't even start with needing two people. I could get Isabella away from that psycho Nolan all by myself.'
If he didn't know that Isabella's heart was set on that jerk Michael, he wouldn't have let Michael have this chance.
The car sped down the road like a flash.
Michael couldn't think about anything else; he just wanted to see Isabella safe as soon as possible.
But what he never expected was that Nolan had taken Isabella to the lakeside villa where Bianca had once brought him.
The car came to a slow stop not far from the house.
Seeing the familiar scene, Felix couldn't help but chuckle.
"This world is really small. I thought running into familiar faces while rescuing someone was a coincidence, but even the house is the same as before."
Michael remained calm.
He had already investigated everything about Nolan when Nolan first targeted him.
This lakeside villa was registered under Nolan's name.
But he didn't expect Nolan to be bold enough to bring Isabella here.
However, this was good. As long as Isabella was here, he could rescue her quickly.
The only problem was that the villa had many rooms, and finding her without being detected would be difficult.
Thinking of this, Michael glanced at Felix. "Are you sure Isabella is here?"
If Isabella was really inside, he would face Nolan head-on to get her out.
"I'm sure!"
Felix didn't hesitate. "But if we go in now, we'll be too obvious. If they notice us and escape through the back door, it'll be trouble. So, it's time to use some tricks."
Felix pulled out a small, intricate device from his pocket. With a few deft folds, it transformed into a sophisticated gadget ready for deployment.
Cracking the car window, Felix aimed the pinhole camera and launched the device toward the villa. It disappeared silently into the darkness.
Michael observed the entire process, noting how the bee-sized device made absolutely no noise in flight.
He realized Felix was using cutting-edge foreign technology.
The Flying Shadow Bee.
Rumor had it that a mysterious mechanical genius invented it.
The device weighed no more than an egg but had impressive capabilities.
Originally designed to explore dangerous, uninhabited areas, this genius had refined it to rival the smallest military drones.
It was sold for millions of dollars as soon as it hit the market.
And now, it was in Felix's hands?
Michael had his suspicions.
Did Felix buy it at a high price, or did he invent it himself?
"Felix, how many identities do you have?"
Michael's voice was calm but certain.
Felix wasn't just Isabella's good friend; he had also been hired by Aiden to investigate him. Now, he had a piece of high-tech equipment worth millions.
If he were just an ordinary guy, how could he have access to military-grade equipment?
Michael couldn't help but question Felix's true identity.
Felix, focused on the controller, heard Michael's question but didn't take it seriously. He smirked and answered slowly.
"Who am I? Mr. Brown, haven't you figured it out yet? I already told you my name. If you remember, your grandfather and my grandfather were close. If you don't know that, just remember I'm the grandson of your grandfather's old friend. In short, I'm just an ordinary person. There's no need for you to be suspicious or afraid of me."
As he spoke, Felix continued to skillfully operate the remote, guiding the "bee" into the villa, searching for Isabella from the top down.
"You can't be an ordinary person."
Michael concluded but knew now wasn't the time to investigate.
"Felix, once we rescue Isabella, we need to have a talk. I have some questions for you."
"Whatever, I don't care."
Felix raised an eyebrow, indifferent.
He didn't think he had much to discuss with Michael, but if Michael insisted, he wouldn't mind giving him a piece of his mind for Isabella.
The next second, Felix spotted Isabella on the controller's screen.
"Found her. Isabella is here."
Michael immediately looked down, seeing Isabella on the small screen.
It was really her.
Seeing Isabella's condition, Michael's hands clenched tightly.
Damn it, how dare Nolan lock Isabella up here?
On the third floor of the villa.
Isabella was thrown onto a large bed, her hands and feet bound tightly with ropes, unable to move.
She slowly opened her eyes, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings, her mind gradually recalling the moments before she lost consciousness.
She remembered being moved by Nolan and having a drink with him, then feeling dizzy.
Before she passed out, she was sure she saw Nolan's determined face.
He did this!
All that talk about seeing her one last time and leaving Evergreen City tomorrow was just a setup to kidnap her.
He was despicable.
Isabella gritted her teeth in anger.
Nolan, that lunatic, drugged her drink and brought her here?
How could he do this to her?
She had felt guilty and softened by his words. If it weren't for what he said, she wouldn't have drunk that glass of wine.
If she hadn't touched the wine, she wouldn't have fallen into his trap!
Isabella now saw Nolan's true face beneath the mask.
He was a complete liar, a despicable scoundrel with no bottom line.
"Nolan, if you have the guts, come out and tell me what you want!"
He might be the head of the Brown Group, but did he forget she had the entire Wilson Family backing her?
She was her grandfather's chosen heir to the Wilson Group. If anything happened to her, her uncles wouldn't let him off.
