Chapter 51

"Isabella, take a good look at where you are. This is the Brown Villa, not a place where you can act recklessly!" Seeing the situation, Stella tried to act tough.

"So what? Can you control my mouth or my legs? I'll say whatever I want and go wherever I please. Can you stop me?" Isabella said.

Stella's chest heaved with anger, but before she could speak, Isabella's red lips curved into a smile. "You think I don't have the right, huh? You do? You can't even drink water without someone feeding you, and you cry for half a day over a broken nail. If you were in charge, the Brown Family would be finished!"

Stella was not only trembling with rage but also embarrassed by the exposure of her private matters.

Michael, standing to the side, was stunned.

He knew Isabella was articulate, but he had never seen such a heated scene before.

He had thought she would be bullied and wronged.

Unexpectedly, she could handle three people on her own without breaking a sweat.

"Isabella, you bitch! How dare you talk to me like that? I'm gonna smash your mouth today!"Stella's face turned red.

No one had ever dared to speak to her like that.

Yesterday, she couldn't beat Isabella, but today Michael was here, and he would surely take her side.

But unexpectedly, it was Michael who stopped the slap.

Isabella was also stunned.

Was Michael out of his mind?

At this moment, shouldn't he be avenging Stella and Bianca? Yet he stopped Stella's slap for her!

"Michael, why are you stopping me? Isabella insulted me and you still siding with her?" Stella said.

"Mom, Isabella is my wife. If I don't side with her, who will? We haven't even divorced yet!" Michael frowned. "And why wouldn't she have a share in this family? She's my wife, so the Brown Family is hers too!"

Seeing Stella ready to strike, he seemed to understand what Isabella had endured these three years in the Brown Family.

He also understood why she was so determined to leave here, to leave him.

Her transformation into who she was today seemed inseparable from his three years of indifference.

He suddenly felt a pang of guilt.

Isabella had never complained to him about how his family treated her.

His realization came too late, and he only hoped to make it up to her, to prevent her from suffering any more grievances.

"Michael, what nonsense are you talking about? How could the Brown Family be hers? Did Isabella drug you? How can you side with her!" Stella shook off Michael's hand, clutching her stifled chest.

Harper and Bianca, standing nearby, also sensed something was wrong.

Bianca glanced at Michael secretly, but at this moment, Michael's eyes were only on Isabella.

Michael was the man she had loved for over a decade. How could Bianca not notice the change in his eyes?

Michael seemed to have genuinely fallen for Isabella and was even defying Stella for her.

Bianca's face turned grim.

Michael said, "Mom, just because I haven't said anything doesn't mean I don't know. You know how you've made things difficult for Isabella these past three years. Now that we're on the brink of divorce, isn't it enough?"

Hearing this, Bianca's heart trembled.

She hurried to stand by Stella's side to explain, "Michael, how can you say that about Mrs. Brown? Isabella asked for a divorce because she loves someone else. Mrs. Brown is doing this for you. What you're doing will break her heart!"

Bianca intentionally brought up Isabella and Thomas.

This was the one thing Michael cared about the most.

In the past, whenever this was mentioned, Michael would get extremely angry.

But this time, Bianca seemed to have miscalculated.

Michael gave her a cold glance, his eyes devoid of any emotion. "Bianca, you can have the apartment you're living in now, but from today on, don't let me see you causing trouble for Isabella again!"

Michael's powerful presence and the warning in his tone were undeniable.

Isabella was stunned.

She had prepared to make her move but Michael stepped in.

"Isabella, come with me!" Before Isabella could react, Michael had already grabbed her wrist and walked away briskly.

Although Isabella hadn't used her full strength, she had won this round completely.

Even Stella felt utterly humiliated.

Usually, she thought Harper was quite clever, but at the critical moment, she couldn't even handle Isabella.

No wonder he was driven out by Isabella.

And Bianca, Michael had just sided with Isabella so blatantly, yet she stood there like a wooden statue, not knowing what to say.

All she did was lower her head and cry. Michael had already left; what good was crying now?

Stella looked at the Harper and Bianca, shaking her head in dissatisfaction. "Bianca, this won't do. Look at how Isabella won Michael over with just a few words. If you keep silent, you won't stand a chance."

"I understand, Mrs. Brown. I'll find opportunities to spend more time with Michael." Bianca said.

"It seems I have to step in personally. Isabella is not simple. Even though they're about to divorce, she can still enchant Michael. I need to have someone keep an eye on her to prevent any more changes!" Watching Isabella and Michael disappear, Stella narrowed her eyes.

Meanwhile.

Michael pulled Isabella to a corner of the garden, only to have her shake off his hand immediately.

"Michael, what are you doing? Ignoring your beloved Bianca to bother me?" Isabella was confused.

"Isabella, what do you really want?" Michael raised his voice.

"What I want? Didn't I make myself clear?" Isabella found it amusing, looking up at Michael coldly.

The phone rang, and Isabella answered it in front of him.

The person on the other end seemed to invite her out for the evening, and she agreed.

Just as she was about to leave, Michael grabbed her, frowning. "Where are you going? It's late, and you're still going out with someone?"

"Michael, do you hear yourself? What does it matter to you where I go?" Isabella tried to shake him off, but Michael's hand wouldn't move, and she couldn't break free.

"Don't go out. I'll agree to any request you have today." After speaking, Michael seemed afraid of what she might say next and quickly added, "Except for divorce!"

Isabella raised an eyebrow. "Then come with me to court tomorrow, and I won't go out tonight."

"Tomorrow is also no good. Isabella, we..."

Before Michael could finish, Isabella seized the opportunity to pull her hand away. "Then we have nothing to talk about."

Isabella walked away quickly, as if afraid Michael would follow her.

Michael stood there, feeling uneasy with his empty hand.

He had actually wanted to tell her not to bring up divorce again.

He thought, 'Isabella, stop this. Can't we go back to how things were?'

Back in the bedroom, Michael lay on the bed, his arm over his forehead, and called Aaron. "Get me all the recent movements of Mrs. Brown, including where she's going tonight. Report everything to me."
