Chapter 64

"Michael." Bianca heard that the Brown Group was holding a shareholders' meeting today, and even Aiden was attending. She rushed over, only to witness the tender scene before her eyes.

Michael possessively held Isabella in his arms, shielding her from view, which deeply provoked Bianca.

Ever since Isabella kicked her out, Bianca had been trying every possible way to deliver a fatal blow to Isabella.

But she never expected that Isabella, a country girl, would turn out to be the recent online sensation, the racing queen.

One race changed everyone's perception of Isabella, and they even started to like her.

The dirt she had paid netizens to dig up was buried.

Instead, it created a buzz for Isabella, and everyone began to sympathize with her tragic background.

She had endured several days at home, fearing that any photos taken of her would spark negative public opinion. If it weren't for Stella's call about the stock transfer, she wouldn't come out.

She hadn't even finished listening before rushing over, but she was still a step too late.

The meeting was over, and she witnessed Michael and Isabella's intimate embrace with her own eyes.

She cursed in her head, 'That bitch, Isabella. Why does everything I wants end up in Isabella's hands? The position of Mrs. Brown, Michael, and even Aiden's favor-all of these should have been mine. Isabella, who has been kicked out of the house, dared to compete with me. Grace couldn't beat Harper, and Isabella couldn't beat me either.'

But she couldn't show it in front of Michael.

Even though she was seething with anger, she had to pretend she accidentally walked in. "Michael, Isabella, what are you doing? This is the company!"

She acted as if she couldn't stand it, hoping to embarrass Isabella, who would leave in a fit of anger.

But she was met with a contemptuous snort. "Are you blind? Can't you see what we're doing?"

Seeing Michael straighten up, Isabella instead wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down and biting his neck, leaving a noticeable mark on his jawline.

That spot made it obvious what had happened.

Seeing Isabella being so forward, even though it hurt a bit, Michael's mood improved significantly. He sat up and pulled her close to him.

"Isabella, this is the company, and it's broad daylight. Don't you have any shame?" Bianca's face turned pale with anger, and she started cursing.

Ever since Isabella kicked her family out of Garden Villa, Bianca had stopped pretending.

"I think the shameless one here is you," Isabella retorted, "You knew this was Michael's office, yet you barged in without knocking, interrupting us, and you have the nerve to stand there watching. So, you're the most shameless one here."

Bianca's face turned pale. She had always presented herself as gentle and understanding in front of Michael.

Moreover, Michael hadn't divorced Isabella yet, so cursing Isabella wouldn't do her any good.

She shifted her gaze to Michael, seeking help.

Her eyes were full of grievance. "Michael, I came here because I have something important to discuss with you. Can we talk alone?"

Hearing this, Isabella raised an eyebrow and stood up. Just when Bianca thought she was leaving out of self-awareness, Isabella merely adjusted her clothes.

She gave Bianca a provocative look.

Then she extended her hand to Michael on the couch, coquettishly saying, "Michael, I want to sit in your chair. Can you carry me over?"

This was the first time Isabella had spoken to him in such a tone. Her playful and cute demeanor made Michael's heart flutter.

He remained expressionless, grabbed her hand, and pulled her into his arms. He carried her to the desk and placed her in the leather chair, which was his office chair.

Isabella sat there as if it were her rightful place, and Michael stood beside her indulgently.

She looked up at the dumbfounded Bianca, as if watching a joke.

"Didn't you have something to say? Go ahead, I'm curious to hear what important matter it is. If you insist on speaking to Michael alone, I won't insist on staying, but..." She turned to Michael, her eyes filled with flirtation. "Michael, you wouldn't want to leave me here alone, would you?"

Michael didn't deny it.

He knew she was doing it on purpose, but he liked it.

But Bianca, who was being treated as invisible, was so angry she could almost spit blood.

"Bianca, just say what you have to say!" Michael finally spoke. His eyes, once filled with tolerance for Bianca, were now cold and indifferent, just like with any other person.

The way Harper and her daughter had treated Isabella had exhausted his patience.

"Michael, I came here to discuss a business matter, not a personal one. Can't we talk alone?" Bianca bit her lip, looking at Michael with a fragile expression.

She thought to herself, 'Clearly, I am the one who truly love him. Why couldn't he understand? Isabella only has a marriage contract that no one recognizes. How could she take him away?'

"If it's a business matter, you should discuss it in front of Isabell Michael's tone was firm, with a hint of pride. "Half of the Brown Group's shares have been transferred to Isabella. Her shares now exceed mine and my grandfather's. Even I have to listen to her in the company."

Bianca didn't believe it at all.

Even if Aiden favored Isabella, he wouldn't transfer all the shares to her.

Even if he did, it would be a small amount, just for show.

No one in their right mind would hand over the family assets, especially with Michael, the heir of the Brown Group, still around.

Maybe he was just going along with Isabella.

Bianca felt a deep resentment. "Michael, have you forgotten? We grew up together. When we were kids, you even caught little goldfish for me in the river and gave me your favorite cat pendant."

Bianca deliberately mentioned their childhood, hoping Michael would remember who he truly loved.

There was a time when Michael had shown her some warmth.

After Isabella was taken away, Bianca was brought to the Taylor Family and met Michael, who waited at the gate every day.

The following years were spent with Michael at the same school.

At that time, she knew that the person Michael was waiting for was Isabella. Only when she mentioned Isabella would Michael talk to her.

"Cat pendant?"

"Cat pendant?" Isabella frowned at Michael. She seemed to have some memory of having such an item when she was a child.

Michael explained, his face darkening, "That thing wasn't a gift from me. You took it without my permission."
