Chapter 68
Seeing Indigo clutching his chest in anger, Harper quickly helped him sit down.
Bianca reached out to block Indigo and Harper, pointing at Isabella and Thomas as she cursed, "Isabella, don't think I don't know about your relationship with this man. You haven't even divorced Michael yet, and you dare to bring him out like this. Aren't you afraid that Michael will find out and kick you out of the Brown Family?"
"Who gave you the guts to talk about him like that? Then again, what can I expect from a daughter raised by Indigo? Your whole family probably doesn't even know what proper upbringing is. You're all just a bunch of blood-sucking parasites." Isabella glanced at them coldly.
They could talk about her, but she would never allow anyone to slander Thomas.
Bianca's eyes were red with anger. "Just you wait, I'm going to tell Michael about you and this man right now. He hates betrayal the most. If you dare to cheat, he won't let you off!"
"That's right, Michael should know what they've been doing behind his back. The Brown Family won't tolerate a slut like Isabella." Harper chimed in.
Thomas looked at the family with cold eyes, filled with disgust.
He had received elite education since childhood and had never heard such vulgar and unpleasant words in his family.
Just standing there made him feel like he was soaked in a disgusting odor, making it unbearable even for a moment.
But just thinking about how Isabella had lived in such a family environment for so long, he could feel her helplessness and sadness as a child.
Fortunately, Daniel had noticed something was wrong in time and brought Isabella back to the Wilson Family.
If she had been left alone in such a family, Isabella's future might have been ruined by these people.
Realizing she had suffered so much back then, Thomas' eyes darkened as he reached out to wrap his arm around Isabella's shoulder, gently patting her.
No wonder she hadn't mentioned anything about the Taylor Family for so many years.
Isabella felt Thomas's emotions and knew he was feeling sorry for her.
But these people had clearly insulted him too, yet he only cared about her.
Isabella's heart warmed. She turned to look at the three people in front of her, her eyes full of coldness. "You can talk about me, but if I hear you badmouthing my uncle again, I can make you leave right now."
Bianca, holding her phone, froze and looked at Isabella and Thomas in disbelief. "What did you say? He's not your sugar daddy?"
Hearing Isabella reveal his identity, Thomas had no intention of hiding it anymore.
He glanced coldly at them and said in a deep voice, "I am Isabella's uncle. I am from the Wilson Family in the eastern part of Valoria. Isabella is my niece and the most cherished heiress of the Wilson Family. With me around, anyone who dares to bully her can try facing my methods! The Wilson Family may not like to show off, but we are not afraid of trouble. The eastern part of Valoria is our territory, but we have influence in the southern as well. It's up to you to decide."
Thomas' voice was calm but carried a menacing tone.
His words were also highly intimidating.
Ryan, standing nearby, tensed up and instinctively moved aside.
To others, Thomas might seem like a refined gentleman, but those who knew him well understood that it was just a facade.
When Thomas got angry, no one could suppress him.
The man who had carved out a path on Sterling Avenue and founded the first financial group couldn't possibly be easy to deal with.
After all, Thomas had even brought up the Wilson Family. The only group that could go against the Wilson Family and still be fine was the Brown Group in Evergreen City.
Even if Indigo's family was ignorant, they knew the reputation of the Wilson Group in the eastern part of Valoria. It was an entity that even the Brown Group wouldn't dare to provoke easily.
He couldn't help but thought, 'Isabella is a Wilson? How could that be!'
If Isabella was a Wilson, then when he married Grace, who was a daughterof the Wilson Group. But back then, he had only thought Grace was a college girl pursuing true love.
He had never imagined she had such a powerful background and influence.
The more Indigo thought about it, the more terrified he became. He stood up, trembling. "Are you talking about the Wilson Family of the Wilson Group?"
"Yes!" Thomas couldn't be bothered to explain further, his eyes coldly scrutinizing Indigo, this weak and incompetent man. He couldn't understand how the naive Grace had fallen for such a bad man.
Indigo was both bad and useless, and he had even brought outsiders to bully Isabella. A man like Indigo was rotten to the core.
Looking back, it was probably because the Wilson Family had been too protective of Grace.
Daniel had been strict with her, not allowing her to go out or make friends with boys. Her brothers had spoiled her, giving her whatever she wanted.
But they hadn't taught her how to discern good men from bad.
So when she met Indigo, she was deceived by his lies about love.
"Impossible, Grace was just an ordinary person. When we got married, not her single family member showed up. How could she be a Wilson." The more Indigo thought about it, the more terrified he became.
Rather than not believing Grace was a Wilson, he couldn't face the fact that she was.
After all, considering what he had done to Grace and Isabella, if it were investigated, he couldn't hide anything.
Grace had died just like that. The Wilson Family would never let him off.
"Isabella, do you think we would believe you just because you said a few random words?" Bianca rolled her eyes at Isabella and Thomas. "You dare claim to be from the Wilson Family in the eastern part of Valoria? There are plenty of people with the same last name. If everyone claimed to be related to the Wilson Group, the whole street wouldn't be enough to hold them."
Hearing Bianca's words, Harper immediately reacted and joined in the scolding. "Exactly, you must be crazy for money. How dare you lie about you are the Wilsons? Look at yourselves, coming from the countryside and pretending to be from a wealthy family. Do you even deserve it?"
After all these years without anyone showing up, Harper wouldn't believe Isabella had any connection to such a wealthy family.
If Isabella was really a Wilson, why didn't she say that before?
Isabella looked at the mother and daughter and couldn't help but laughed. "I love seeing you act like you've never seen the world. Just because I'm in a good mood, I'll give you a little lesson."
With that, Isabella took out her phone and called Chris, who was managing the company.
She put the call on speaker.
"Ms. Taylor, is there something you need?" Chris paused his meeting, stood up, and walked to a quiet place to answer Isabella's call.
His tone was as respectful and polite as always.
Everyone in the room heard it clearly.
