Chapter 81

After answering the call, Michael didn't rush to speak.

Mainly because he didn't know what to say to Isabella. Reaching this point, he admitted he was impulsive and angry with her.

But her affair with Nolan had indeed provoked him.

Michael had things on his mind, but Isabella was already shouting in anger, "Michael, do you think staying silent will cover everything up? Let me ask you, did you take Bianca?"

She was certain that Bianca was with Michael.

Hearing her revert to her usual tone, Michael felt somewhat relieved. He glanced at the metal door and chuckled softly into the phone. "Ms. Wilson, if I remember correctly, we were just in court four hours ago, and  Bianca is your sister. Isn't it absurd to ask me for Bianca?"

Isabella knew Michael's tactics all too well.

She didn't want to waste words with him. "Michael, cut the crap. I must have Bianca. My people have searched all over Evergreen City and found no trace of her. Who else but you could hide her so well?"

She knew better than anyone how powerful Michael was.

The Wilson Group almost failed in its expansion into the southern part of Valoria because of him. If he really wanted to go against the Wilson Group, she wouldn't be able to do anything about it for a while.

But what they were arguing about now wasn't business; it was personal.

She could compromise on other things, but she would never let Bianca go.

Michael neither explained nor admitted. "It seems you have a high opinion of my abilities, but where's your evidence? If you're just going to accuse me based on speculation, I will let the Brown Group's legal team communicate with you."

His words left Isabella speechless. Her anger burned even hotter inside her, and she thought Michael was just being evasive.

Bianca was clearly taken by him, yet he still wouldn't admit it.

"Are you sure Bianca isn't with you?" Isabella questioned him, trying to trick him into revealing the truth.

"Ms. Taylor, are you inquiring about my private life? Do I need to report to you who I'm with?" Michael sneered. "Or do you still think you're Mrs. Brown? We just went through the divorce process. From now on, we're complete strangers. Didn't you say that?"

After saying that, Michael hung up.

Isabella was so angry she almost jumped, realizing his few words could still easily infuriate her.

If she could, she would run to him and bite him hard to vent her anger. But they were already divorced.

However, she couldn't stand it. It was impossible to get the truth from Michael's mouth. The only way was to find him and follow him to Bianca's hiding place.

She had to find Bianca, and not even Michael could stop her.

What Isabella didn't know was that Michael, who had just hung up, stared at his phone for a while before putting away his reluctant expression.

Then he reverted to his usual cold demeanor and walked towards the metal door.

Inside, Bianca was tied to the only chair.

Four men in black stood at each corner, watching her every move.

In such a terrifying scene, Bianca showed no fear. Instead, she shouted loudly in the room, using Michael's name.

She said Michael would kill them all, if they dare to hurt her.

Indeed, this was her true nature.

Michael's narrow eyes squinted slightly, his deep eyes hiding unfathomable emotions.

No one knew what he was thinking at that moment and what he was about to do.

The men in the room, trained by Michael, remained unresponsive no matter how much Bianca shouted.

The sound of high-quality black leather shoes echoed in the room as Michael's tall figure blocked most of the light. Each step he took felt like a demon treading on their hearts.

"Michael." Bianca's voice was already hoarse from shouting. Seeing Michael now, she was so scared she couldn't even speak properly.

She had been dragged into an alley and kidnapped just after leaving the mall, thinking it was Isabella's revenge.

So, she had deliberately mentioned Michael's name to scare them and intimidate Isabella.

After all, Isabella cared most about Michael's opinion. With him around, Isabella wouldn't dare do anything to her.

But why was Michael here? Could it be that the people who kidnapped her in the alley weren't Isabella's but Michael's?

Thinking of that, shock and fear gripped her heart, and Bianca couldn't stop trembling.

Her eyes were red, as if she had been wronged.

Before Bianca could speak again, Michael sneered. "What? Don't you recognize me?"

Though familiar, Michael's cold voice sent chills down her spine.

"Michael. Why did you kidnap me?" Bianca said, tears streaming down her face in grievance.

How could he be so heartless? She had loved him for over a decade, yet he kidnapped her for Isabella.

Michael had always been indifferent to her tears. He had only felt he owed her a favor back then, which he had repaid. He hadn't expected she was so greed.

"I made it clear that I would repay your family double for what you did to Isabella. And you keep testing my limits." Michael's eyes swept over her. "So, let's start with you."

Bianca shuddered, feeling the warmth drain from her body.

She hadn't forgotten what Michael said in that apartment, but she thought he was just saying it to appease Isabella and wouldn't really kick them out.

She thought those were just words to deal with Isabella, but they were true.

For Isabella, Michael really wanted to take revenge on her family, including her.

Bianca shook her head frantically. "No, Michael, please, let me go this time. Have you forgotten our feelings, and what I did back then..."

"You're not worthy of mentioning what happened back then!" Michael interrupted coldly, "Besides, are you sure it was you who saved me back then?"

Hearing that, Bianca's face turned pale.

Michael's eyes had lost all warmth. "But whether it was you or not doesn't matter to me anymore. I've repaid enough over the years, so don't bring up the past again."
