Chapter 166

Isabella had no clue what was going down in the parking lot, and honestly, even if she did, she wouldn't give a damn.

Meanwhile, she was in her office, hashing out the new PR strategy with Juniper.

"I've seen the buzz about you online, but I want to hear the full scoop from you," Juniper said, grinning as she settled at the desk.

Isabella nodded and spilled all the details she had.

As Isabella talked, Juniper started piecing things together and was floored by what Jasper and Mia had done.

"I can't believe they'd do you dirty like that!" Juniper said, shaking her head. She was surprised by Isabella's story, but not totally shocked. She'd seen worse in her line of work.

"That's the gist of it, and I've got some solid proof to back it up-recordings, videos, and some things that I'm still working on. I think the current buzz isn't enough; we need to wait a bit longer," Isabella explained her plan.

Juniper nodded. "You're right. We need better timing for this. Dropping it now would be a waste."

Juniper paused, a sly smile creeping onto her face. "Ms. Taylor, after hearing your plan, I feel like you might not even need my help. You've totally got this."

Isabella smiled back. "Actually, I seem to have the upper hand because of the killer evidence I've got. But to really make it work, I need your clout. I want to use your influence to tighten up the plan and turn my 80% chance into a sure thing."

Juniper nodded, getting her role in the whole scheme.

"So, once you have proof of the transactions between your parents and Bianca, your evidence chain will be complete?" Juniper asked.

Isabella shook her head. "Not quite. There's one big piece missing: where my funds went. I invested $30 million in the company, but that money vanished fast. I think my parents didn't use it for business but for something else. I'm digging into where that money went and hope you can keep this under wraps."

Juniper nodded. "Of course, Isabella. You can count on our discretion."

Juniper smiled and started fine-tuning the plan. "To make the biggest splash, you'll need to put on a bit of a show in the coming days. Right now, you look too put-together; you don't look like someone who's been through the wringer. Try to look a bit more worn out. Maybe wear a mask and a hat, like you're trying to stay low-key."

Isabella instinctively touched her face and nodded, realizing she hadn't thought of that.

"Also, we have a pro filming team that will capture footage of how this situation is affecting your life. You can use these scenes to tell your side of the story, but without solid evidence, people online won't buy it. However, once the truth comes out, it'll hit them hard," Juniper explained, and Isabella took notes diligently.

After they wrapped up their chat, Isabella suddenly remembered something.

"Ms. Fox, can you tell me what my husband offered to get you on board? My husband is just a regular office worker. I can't imagine he has the means to hire someone like you," Isabella asked, puzzled.

Juniper recalled that Michael had warned her not to reveal his true identity.

Juniper understood Michael's concern. After all, it was pretty scandalous for an uncle to marry his nephew's ex-fiancée.. What surprised Juniper was that Isabella still hadn't figured out who her husband really was.

"Your husband once saved my life! You know, in our line of work, we might look glamorous, but we make enemies, just like lawyers. I was attacked once and nearly died, but he happened to drive by and took me to the hospital," Juniper casually made up a story.

In reality, Juniper had been attacked and seriously injured once, but it wasn't Michael who saved her. Still, that didn't stop her from using the experience to embellish her story about him.

Isabella didn't really doubt the story. If it was a life-saving favor, it made sense that Juniper would be willing to help.

"In that case, thank you, Ms. Fox. Whether I can get through this public scrutiny depends on you," Isabella smiled, stood up, and shook Juniper's hand, seeing her out of the office.

Meanwhile, John had returned to the Williams Villa after leaving the company.

Mason, leaning on his cane, sat on the opposite sofa and asked, "Weren't you helping Isabella with the PR crisis? How did it go?"

John waved his hand irritably. "Don't ask me that. You should ask Isabella. The PR team she hired is way better than the one I got."

Mason frowned deeply at John's words. At first, he was puzzled about how Isabella, given her current family situation, could afford a better PR team than John's.

But then Mason thought of Michael. If Michael was involved, it made perfect sense.

"Who did Isabella hire for her PR team?" Mason asked John.

John was about to say Juniper's name when Charles suddenly walked in.

"Mr. Williams, there's a woman named Juniper at the door who says she wants to see you," Charles said respectfully to Mason.

The name sounded familiar to Mason. Having been out of touch with business matters for some time, he might have come across Juniper's name before but couldn't recall it.

"Charles, let her in," John said before turning to Mason.

"This Juniper is the most famous PR queen right now. She's the one handling Isabella's PR crisis," John said with a sneer, reclining back on the sofa.

John's groin was still aching from Isabella's attack, even though some time had passed.

'Damn it, I hope it's not permanently damaged. When Bianca gets back from Lumaria, I need to test things out,' John thought to himself.
