Chapter 355
Isabella and her crew hung around for a bit before finally getting their photos taken. After the shoot, it was time for the couple to exchange flowers.
They also snapped some group shots with the bride and groom. It felt like making new friends in a far-off place.
After saying their goodbyes, Isabella's group kept climbing higher up the snowy mountain. They spent the whole day there, capturing all the shots they needed.
The mountain scenery was stunning, and there were plenty of tourists around. Where there are tourists, there are always restaurants and shops, so food wasn't an issue.
Once they wrapped up the photo session, they headed back to the hotel by car.
"I can't wait to see those pics," Isabella said, grinning as she hugged Michael's neck.
Michael pulled her closer and said, "Didn't the photographer mention? They need to edit the photos first to make them perfect."
Isabella pouted. "But the photographer also said we're already good-looking, and the photos would be great even without editing."
Michael kissed her forehead and then suddenly lifted her, placing her on the bed. "Didn't the photographer already send you the photos?"
"I want an album!" Isabella frowned and playfully tapped Michael's forehead, wondering why he was being so dense.
Michael chuckled, shook his head, got up from the bed, and took off his shirt.
"I'm gonna take a shower and then grab some dinner. Wanna join me?" Michael asked with a grin.
Isabella playfully swatted his waist. "Are you sure?"
Michael smirked. "Actually, I think it's better if we shower separately. We did splurge on this presidential suite, so no need to worry about the water bill."
With that, Michael headed into the bathroom with a towel.
Isabella covered her mouth, a mischievous smile spreading across her face. Teasing Michael was always fun.
She pulled out her phone and checked the photos the photographer had sent. Even unedited, they looked amazing against the snowy backdrop.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a message.
The sender was a stranger, but the content made Isabella's brow furrow.
Stranger: [Your husband is a fraud. He's not just your husband; he's mine too.]
Isabella glanced towards the bathroom and then typed a reply.
Isabella: [Are you sure you have the right person?]
Stranger: [I'm not mistaken. Your husband's name is Michael. He's my husband too.]
Isabella's frown deepened. She suddenly remembered being mistaken for a mistress when they arrived at the hotel yesterday.
Elise, who came to blow the lid off the affair, caused this mess because her husband had tied the knot in two different countries.
Isabella: [I don't know who you are, but without solid proof, I'll sue you.]
Stranger: [You want proof? Fine, I'll give it to you.]
A moment later, the stranger sent a photo. Isabella's jaw dropped. It was a wedding photo of Michael with another woman, her face blurred out. Isabella knew it wasn't her; their wedding was in the snowy mountains, not by the seaside.
Isabella's eyes turned icy. She quickly typed back.
Isabella: [You think you can fool me with this photo? In this day and age, even videos can be faked. Why should I believe this?]
The stranger didn't reply right away but instead retracted all the previous messages.
But Isabella was quick and saved the photo before it disappeared.
Then, another message popped up.
Stranger: [If you don't believe me, check the local government records. There's a whole industry helping men get married abroad. You might find info about their other marriages.]
Isabella's frown deepened.
Isabella: [Why are you saying "these men"? Are you implying my husband has multiple wives?]
Stranger: [I know of at least two, but I won't send you more. The power behind your husband is scary, and I don't want to put other women in danger.]
Another message followed.
Stranger: [I'm telling you this as a fellow woman. Be cautious and don't get fooled by marriage. If you still don't believe me, good luck.]
The stranger retracted the message shortly after. No more messages came through.
Isabella tried calling the number, but no one picked up.
She narrowed her eyes and opened the saved photo again. In it, Michael wore a wedding suit, looking all charming. The woman next to him, though blurred, seemed to be smiling.
Isabella suddenly grinned, saved the photo to her email, and put her phone away.
Just then, Michael walked out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel.
"Everything okay, babe? You seem a bit off," Michael asked, puzzled.
Isabella shook her head with a smile. "I was just thinking, only taking photos in the snowy mountains might be a bit boring. Maybe we should take some by the sea too."
Michael nodded, smiling. "This country has a coastline. If you want, we can take some seaside photos. And remember? I was planning to propose to you on a cruise last time."
Isabella stared at Michael's face but saw nothing suspicious.
"Our schedule is already packed, so let's wait until the end of the trip," Isabella said, smiling as she grabbed her clothes and headed into the bathroom for a shower.
